We are making this season easier to register, no lines up! Set up by appointment only so we can keep everyone safe and clean in between.
Soccer is coming - it looks a little different but we are going ahead!
Okay Fraser - how was your bus ride today? Or if you see this later on in the week, how was your ride effected this week. We want to make sure we are advocating for our community so we want to hear it all! We’ve heard a mix today already of some loving it and some hating it. If you have complaints or comments our Councillor Aaron Paquette - Ward 4 - City of Edmonton has asked for feedback to his office AND to 311. Note: This redesign has been in the works for several years and had several public consultations. The North Side doesn’t not have on Demand Service because we didn’t lose coverage. **Quarry Ridge in Horsehill is the one exception to this and that’s being worked on.
**Update! Cosmo is home! Heads Up Fraser! We have a senior dog missing. This goofy old guy went missing sometime last night. He isn’t wearing a collar. He is microchipped. He is 14 and has no teeth and is deaf so he won’t come if you call him. His name is Cosmo. If you see him please please grab him for me.
We are hiring!! Our amazing teacher Joan Lynch after so many years at Fraser Play-school is retiring - we will celebrate her and her legacy once covid is over, stay tuned for that! We are looking for a teacher (level three) and a level one assistant. Vulnerable Record checks and first aid are a must as well.... Our playschool is three days a week (M/W/F), morning classes and afternoon if we get enough registrations.
Any other Van Gogh Fansout there?!?! Check out this incredible exhibit coming in March!
Happy Lunar New Year
Check out Communitues United - they have some awesome programs available for those who are job hunting right now!
? You can support your Dragons easily and quickly with the bottles an...d cans around your house. Drop by Manning Bottle Drive anytime and hand your bottles off to a staff member and let them know you would like them to be donated to Fraser Elementary School. That is it, it is that easy, you don't have to wait around or anything! Please feel free to drop off any unwanted bottles or cans anytime and support your Dragons!
Just a heads up to our residents - we’ve had a few reports of suspicious vehicles loitering in our area for long amounts of time. Enough to be suspicious and raise some flags. It could be nothing - but please be sure to do your bedtime check. Lock your doors, make sure your cars are locked and valuables removed, check your garages and lock them. Be aware of your surroundings and check in with your neighbours! ... And as always - we have a Neighbourhood watch team that we would love to add you too! Contact Liz @ [email protected]

Fraser and area - If you see someone struggling in the cold - DO NOT HESITATE Call 211. Give the address and a description. They will come and assess the situation. It’s going to get brutally cold overnight and all the shelters are already full. The City of Edmonton has enacted their cold weather policy and 211 is there to help. Please let’s keep an eye out for the rough sleepers in the ravine and around the railway tracks, no judgment please , let’s make sure everyone is s...afe in this weather Here’s one on the open cold weather places, and how you can help. Horse Hill Community League is also doing a clothing drive collection for the Bissell Centre
Good 2021 Thoughts. We all have to start at the beginning - and that’s okay!
Councillor Paquette is on now! https://www.facebook.com/aaronforward4/videos/3636170693144470/
Inclusivity at Fraser and promoting a *Safe Space* for all. With all that is happening in the world, Fraser wants to ensure the safety of its residents both online and off. We realize the world is an ever changing place, and that will always continue to be the case, however, now more than ever we need to stand together and stand firm against hatred, hate speech, and racism. Fraser will be launching its first ever LGBTQ+ Pride group in 2021, and will continue to stand with I...ndigenous People and the Black Lives Matter movement. We aim to ensure these groups and all others feel safe and supported when viewing our posts, our website, and our page. Please reach out to our Inclusivity Director Alix at [email protected] if you have any inclusive groups or events you would like to see happen! Effective immediately, Fraser Community League will be implementing a firm NO TOLERANCE rule for hate speech, racism, bigotry, unsafe comments, or intolerance. This will be in effect on the page, in person, and at any Fraser Community League Event. Any comments made in violation of this will be removed and the commenter notified immediately. Further comments made by any commenter in violation will result in a "mute" or "ban". Any violations in person will result in the commenter being asked to leave immediately. It is up to us to create a safe and unified world for the next generations to live in. Change starts with us.
