Halloween is coming up and with it falling on the weekend we want everyone to be prepared for loud fireworks and celebration. Be sure to contact us well in advance if you are worried about your pets. Here are some tips on protecting your animals this Halloween: 1. Most importantly, keep cats inside 2. Dogs should be kept indoors too... 3. Put animals in a secure room during trick-or-treat time 4. We are experiencing a higher than normal call volume. To prevent clients from waiting on hold longer than necessary, we are asking all refill medication requests to be done through our website or to be sent in to [email protected]. This email will be checked Monday - Friday, 8am-3pm Please provide us with you and your pets information and the medication required. Please allow us 3-5 business days or longer to process your request as this will aid us in our organization and inventory control. Covid-19 Updated Business Hours Due to the unfortunate direction Covid-19 has been headed in we have been forced to reduce our opening hours. Starting today March 23 we will be closing early at 5:00pm.... Fraser Heights Animal Hospital: Monday-Friday 8a.m-5:00pm Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm (for emergencies and medication pick-ups only) And we Will be Closed all day Sunday. Guildford Pet Foods: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00pm Saturday 10:00-2:00pm Sunday We will be Closed all day. These business hours will remain until further notice. COVID-19 Update #2 Due to these unfortunate circumstances we are trying to prepare for the worst. We can no longer provide boarding services (if you have a boarding appointment booked we will be contacting you shortly regarding cancellations/other arrangements), grooming services, or any non-emergent services IE.) nail trim, anal glands, ear cleaning, weighing your pet (we know some anal gland/nail issues may be more urgent-please be sure to call us if you feel your pet is ex...periencing a medical emergency) There may be the necessity to reduce non-emergent procedures IE.) Vaccinations, annual exams, or elective surgeries such as spay and neuter. Please keep an eye out for updates. During these stressful times we are doing our best to provide safety and the utmost cleanliness for our members of staff. We request at this point in time that you refrain from bringing in personal items with your pet (we will not be keeping leashes/harnesses/collars, towels/blankets, kennels or anything that may have been in contact with any home environment. Before coming in to pick up any medications, or foods from Fraser Heights Animal Hospital (604-588-4161) and Guildford Pet Foods (604-588-4115) please call to check that we have your desired products as many products have been increasingly more difficult for us to obtain. Due to the fact some of these medications have been so hard to obtain please have patience with the fact we are only able to dispense one month worth of whatever prescription your pet may need at the time. PLEASE BE AWARE OUR WAIT TIMES MAY INCREASE AS WE TAKE THE NECESSARY MEASURES TO CLEAN THE COMMON AREAS MORE FREQUENTLY. Right now we are asking that clients follow our protocol to help us in limiting exposure and to NOT ENTER Fraser Heights Animal Hospital, or Guildford Pet Foods if qualified for one or more of the following: -If you have recently traveled outside of the province in the last 14 days or had any exposure with people who have -Have been directed to quarantine, isolate or self-monitor at home for COVID-19 by any doctor, hospital, or health agency -Have been diagnosed with, or have had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed, awaiting results or symptomatic of COVID-19 If you and your pet are coming into the hospital for an appointment, we will be implementing the following protocols: -Only one person to accompany your pet in the building please call 604-588-4161 to check in and leave a number for us to call you when we are ready for you and your pet to enter the building -if you are immunocompromised or would prefer to wait in the vehicle for the entire appointment, our staff will bring your pet inside and return with him/her after the visit WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS AS PAYMENT.
