Check out the tadpoles heading out into the wild! Thousands and thousands of Oregon Spotted Frog tadpoles, born and raised in captivity by Wildlife Preservation Canada at the zoo, were released into the Chaplin Road restoration site! Vanilla Leaf is our final plant feature for the month This is your last chance to buy plants at our spring plant sale! https://fraser-valley-conservancy.myshopify.com/ This low growing perennial emerges new each spring to spread & fill your shady garden with unique green leaves and delicate flowers. As a forest floor plant it thrives where your sun-loving favourites may struggle.
With a growing amount of staff and COVID requirements, our office is feeling a little too cozy. You can aid us in our conservation work by helping us find a new habitat to call home. We're looking for an office in Mission or Abbotsford, that's at least 1000 square feet. As a not-for-profit we have a limited budget of $2000 per month. We are flexible with type of space, but we do need power, a solid internet connection, and a bathroom. We are open to shared space as well. Thank you!

In our most recent Nature Stewardship School presentation "Wildlife in Winter," we shared how Fraser Valley critters survive the cold and how you can help. We recorded it in case you missed out! https://youtu.be/F8rQAFmzjE0
This is an example of why stewardship is so important. The current legal framework has limited capacity to provide effective protection for habitat. Instead, it relies on a voluntary stewardship approach. It is up to every one of us to care for wildlife and the habitat they need to survive in our valley.
