If you don't like brussel sprouts, you haven't had good brussle sprouts. Roasted Brussel Sprouts Cut into quarters Coat with high heat oil (I used canola here)... Salt & Pepper GARLIC: Smash 6-8 cloves of garlic. Remove skin. Don't cut. Toss everything together. Place on pan. Roast 425F 20-25mins TIPs: do not over crowd flip the brussles halfway through Put this recipe in your pocket for Christmas dinner. IT'S AS BIG AS MY HEAD! I am a big fan of cauliflower. Especially when it's roasted and golden and crispy. Mmmm mmm. It’s cauliflower season. Eat them up or chop and freeze while they’re cheap! Here are a few tips to getting perfectly roasted cauliflower:... DO NOT over crowd the pan. Over crowding causes steam. Steam is sad for crispy edges. High heat. 425F+ Flip ‘em. That way the other side don't steam and they get a chance to get golden also. Here's to cauliflower being in season! Creamy VEGAN pasta people. No cashews needed! . . Not hating on cashews - but here's another way to get a delish creamy sauce using SOFT TOFU. Yes my friends. Andddd it takes <30 minutes. Check out my highlight reels for a full video of how I made this! .... - Ingredients: * 6-8 cloves garlic, minced * 1 medium onion * 1/4 cup nutritional yeast * 1.25 cup white wine * 2 tsp olive oil * 1 pkg soft/smooth tofu * salt & pepper * a bunch of thyme * 3 cups frozen peas * 1 pkg pasta - 1. Sautee garlic and onions. deglaze w. 1 cup white wine. cook till reduced by half. 2. Put tofu, nutritional yeast, salt & pepper, garlic/onion mixture into blender. Blend until smooth. 3. Put blended sauce into sauce pan. Low-medium heat. Add thyme and peas. Mix well. 4. Pour sauce over cooked pasta. 5. Add parsley. Mix well. 6. Cuccumers Tomatoes Bell Peppers Cheddar Cheese Bousin Cheese Alfalfa sprouts Grapes Wash and cut all veggies. Lay on a platter. Get the family to assemble their own sandwiches. No cooking required! Pack the leftovers in a divided container for the kids (or for yourself) to make your own lunchables kit. Serve with a side of grapes. BONUS: Mix hummus + tzatziki + water. Recipe below! Peaches & Nectarines. I use them almost interchangble in my recipes. One of my favourite ways to use 'em is in a salad. Super juice, super sweet, tastes like summer. Kale & Nectarine Salad: - 1 bunch kale - 1/2 kabocha squash... - 2 carrots - 1 yellow bell pepper - 2 whole nectarines or peaches - 1:1 apple cider vinegar to olive oil - Salt & pepper & sugar to taste Optional: Roast the squash, carrots, and bell peppers. Eat this for dinner. Save the leftovers for salad. Combine everything together. Toss. What’s for dinner? JAMBALAYA. First time making this yummy southern dish. I also apologize, there is no okra in this recipe. I gave up after going to 4 different stores. If adding okra, cut it up and sauté with rest of veggies. . . Ingredients (picture shows whipping cream. did not end up using!) - 1.5 onion, diced... - 6 cloves garlic, minced - 2 ribs celery, diced - 3 bell peppers (assorted colours), diced - 1 can diced tomatoes (796mL) - Parlsey, 1 bunch, chopped - 1 cup rice (i used jasmine+red+basmati rice mix) - 1 chicken breast, cut up - Chorizo sausage, diced (120g) - Frozen raw, peeled shrimp (400g) - 400mL Low sodium Chicken broth - 2 tbsp Olive oil - 5 Bay leaves - Cajun Seasoning/Cayanne pepper . . 1. Sauté chicken and sausage until cooked through. Set aside. 2. Saute onions, garlic, celery, peppers until cooked. 3. Add diced tomatoes, rice, and chicken broth. 4. Cover and cook for 20-30 mintes. Add more stock as needed. 5. Stir in raw shrimp and chopped parsley. 6. Stir in cooked chicken and sausage when shrimp JUST changes colour. . .
