AUNT MAGGIE The mother of your family Aunt Mag - a gentle soul You always saw the goodness ... In folks who came to call We celebrate your presence In parties and special days When you walked your way One step at a time You quietly sang God's praise A celebrated woman of strength With a Godly upbringing you shared We always knew your heart was big You always showed you cared Your journey's end was full of grace We were privileged to share your time God bless your family In these days of grief You are in our hearts And that comforts the mind ~ by Terry Broadworth ~
A poem about simpler times...
THINKING OUT LOUD (by Terry Broadworth) You started out a fantasy A wonderful man in the hall And fate did play a major role ... That we would meet at all I had to ensure you were free to pursue As I wanted to know and be closer to you Thank you for bringing the woman in me To a place where I can be totally free My flower petals weep with joy The moment that you're near You touched the essence of my soul While I've played - then spoke my fears You send me to places I've never been Like a blast into outer space I want to give you that ecstasy too Every time I look in your face And now in the garden of my mind You have an honorable place I'm thrilled at the thought of being with you And I'm thrilled with the touch of your face A lady once said - you would enter my life There was no need to question for why To enjoy what I had for that moment in time I'm glad that her thoughts were divine You're my best friend, a man toy and lover too And today there's a special bond with you.
As we draw near to the end of April (National Poetry Month), may we present to you a beautiful definition of poetry
EXPECTATION Stories will be told books will be written love will be shared ... even as life fades into mysterious twilight beneath a twinkling canvas - a cosmos of sparkling glory where a billion souls are grasping the wonder of a God untamed in their hopeful expectation within the deeper mystery of a greater grander story transforming humbled hearts baptized into magnificence. ~ Brayden Sawatzky
