All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become. ~Buddha Imagine your mind as a garden. Positive thoug...hts are the beautiful flowers that brighten your life. Negative thoughts are the ugly weeds that spread and suffocate the flowers. Tending to my garden is an ongoing process. I’m not into chemical pesticides, but my natural weed killers are yoga, meditation, inspirational reading, and hanging out with positive people. What are yours?

Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons. When there is something you need to learn, something that you need to work on, the same situation will continue to ...repeat itself until you either learn your lesson or find a healthy way of dealing with that particular issue. Some of the people give up, some get stuck in a vicious cycle of their own making, and others don’t even realize that they are basically chasing their tail, repeating the same pattern over and over. Some lessons take longer than others. Instead of reacting to situations, when something comes up and seems familiar, I try to stand backif even for a secondto think. It could be a lesson in humility or a lesson in gratitude, or maybe you may need to learn empathy to see things from the other person’s point of view. Instead of reacting all the time, every time something challenging comes up it could be an opportunity to learn. What we call chaos is just patterns we haven’t recognized. What we call random is just patterns we can’t decipher. ~Chuck Palahniuk

According to a study in the journal Psychology and Health, people who were more forgiving than those who were not tended to sleep better and for longer hours. W...hat’s more, they also had better physical health. Forgiveness gives you the power to move out of the past and into the present and gives you control over your live. Forgiving yourself gives you peace. You stop being a captive to any resentment or grudges you may have and start focusing on other things that are important. You can let go and show you are willing to embrace freedom. There is no partial letting go, you have to let go completely so you can completely embrace peace.

Delicious interesting journey

Mind Matters Wellness 30.06.2020

We all have our journeys. Its always interesting to me that I can see clients and help them find the breakthroughs that they are looking for but there are a couple areas of my life where I have been stuck. And sometimes I dont use the tools for myself that I use with my clients! However I have made the choice to transform my health. Not dabble, try, hope. I have made a decision and now will find the way. Here is an example of something that I did for myself today using PS...YCH-K. Worked wonderfully well!. I apologize if this is using jargon you dont follow. Feel free to ask questions if you wish here or schedule a call! - I recently started a new eating plan. Ive done this hundreds of times over the last 30 years. My habitual way is that it goes well for a few days/week or so and then I justify going off plan. That was the feeling today. I was driving around and the feeling of wanting various foods and justification for that came up time and time again. Continued when I got home. Opened a few cupboards. Thought about going to get something. Who would know? I would I heard my mind answer! This feeling was not going away. What to do? Use PSYCH-K! I thought Id start by balancing for the transformation of the perception of stress as thats what I felt as I searched the fridge! But then I journaled a bit first. What else is going on? In the journalling I realized this was about me not getting enough done today. The stress of that. My father recently told me that if he doesnt get outside and accomplish tasks; Everything he set out to do then he feels terrible. I wondered if that was a belief for me at some level. Both my mom and dad feel that work is important to do. They are super busy all the time even at 89 and 92. Ive always admired thier energy. Ive always struggled with procrastination. I luckily, have mental and creative work i value getting done in addition to physical work. But Im also a rebel so I wondered about my relationship to tasks. What could be going on? Did I have to compulsively work always? Each day? If you look at my life it does seem to be so! I am either working on something, avoiding working on something, beating myself up for not working on something, or creating more work for myself! Came up with a goal statement of I am valuable just for being. This tested weak (not agreed upon by the subconscious mind) but then when I tested if it was not safe or appropriate to balance for that goal it was a no! Arggghh! Something else was in the way. So I checked for a message in the situation. Yes! And tested if I had conscious knowledge of that message. Yes! Closed my eyes and waited to see what would come and what came was I am free when I do tasks well. Lets see. That muscle-tested weak so I balanced it. Then I was able to go back and test and balance for I am valuable just being. The urge to go get food went away! Yippee! Such interesting beings we are!
