Excuse the selfie camera and the backwards display on the control panel because of it. Spindle rebuilt and installed. Approx 45 minutes of run time ar varying rpms and cycle times. Runs smooth. Temperature rises about 35 degrees F by the time it's at 8000 rpm for 10 minutes. Well within range. No noise. No noticable runout. Believe it or not Fridaybwas an excellent day ( until my spindle bearings went ) 95% done my second vacuum board and started cutting the 2" aluminum for the tail stock project. And. Before you get excited Bout the skill saw just know it works awesome. 38" long cuts in the 3/4" boards are with 0.050" end for end and side to side. Only takes about a minute and a half. 2" is max depth but it still cuts it smooth and easy. More detail on the spindle. #hardingevmc1000ii #nskbearings NSK70BER10 / NSK70BNR10 NSK 1012BKR / NSK 1012B Definitely on this spindle the bottom 2 bearings were the failure point and the 2 above suffered also. Very top bearing is still packed with clean white Klüber grease surprisingly. No spindle damage or housing damage so it should be possible to rebuild. ...
