Plants like to take their time... this seed was laid 2-3 weeks ago and you can just start to see the small sprouts popping up! The weather lately has been PERFECT for seeding, very rainy and cool. Over the last decade, it is safe to say that the season in Toronto has gotten longer and hotter. We are seeing temperatures in late spring and early fall that we are used to seeing mid-summer. This increase in temperature has put added stress on our over the summer and has required us to put emphasis on proper maintenance practices during those periods of high plant stress. In simple terms, during those hot weeks we need to pay extra attention to and our lawns properly. Take a look at our newest below

Weedy grasses Crab grass, quack grass, etc have become a big problem here in the GTA. Due to the high temperatures, the grasses have started emerging and thriving in the bare areas throughout your turf as seen in the photo above. As of this point, there is no application of ours that will help you combat these types of grass. Our best recommendation is as follows: ... Thoroughly soak the areas of crab grass, then put some gloves on and pull out all the areas necessary. This will make it easier to get the full root of the plant and ensure it doesn’t spread further.
