Beautiful evening to start off a great week of weather. Sunset, fresh air and a fishing rod. #discoverbc #ilovebc #britishcolumbiamagazine #aroundchilliwack #fredmeyerphoto #tourismchilliwack #fishbc #fisherman #fishingmagazine #FraserRiver

Finally had the chance to get back out and shoot some images. Allison Pools in the Chilliwack River Valley is a place that I keep going back to. There are lots of different viewpoints to work with. #chilliwack #chilliwacklife #chilliwackhiking #sharechilliwack #beautifulbc #hikebc #hikechilliwack #discoverbc #ilovebc #britishcolumbiamagazine #hikethevalley #aroundchilliwack #hike_chilliwack #fredmeyerphoto #tourismchilliwack #sigma #sigma14mm

Dark skies for star gazing means getting away from the population. I passed through Tunkwa Lake last week on my way home from Savona. (nice drive) Logan Lake glows in the background. = #astrophotography #nightskies #darkskies #stargazingbc #fredmeyerphoto #nightimages #nightphotography #sigma14mmf18 #tunkwa

Finally some clear skies! I took the opportunity to drive to Kamloops to find a place called Balancing Rock, (thanks Bonnie) I was not disappointed. I'm already planning to go back. #kamloops #savonaBC #hellobc #Ilovebc #landscapephotography #fredmeyerphoto #hikebc

In and around Chilliwack, finding inspiration online, my goal in January is to find an image online, and then put my own artistic expression on it. Thanks to Jean Bergen make sure you give here a follow.

Portraits in the deep forest work great when the winter months are dull and wet. #ilovebc #chilliwack #fraservalleyart #fraservalleyliving #oudoorportrait #portraits #portrait #portraits_ig #portraiture #outdoors #outdoormodel #womensfashion

"Freedom" One of my favourite images of 2020 so far. What makes it my favourite? The mood it sets, it's simple and clean and shows depth. Its as if the hang glider can go on forever without a care in the world.

May 2020 supermoon, I've been planning this shot for some time. I used an app called @photopills, my goal was to have the moon rise over the peak of Mount Baker in Washington. As predicted at 9:42pm it cleared the peak.

Last week I was in Alberta for a day, picking up a vehicle. On the return trip, I decided to drive the Icefields Parkway from Red Deer back to highway 1 and on to BC. Icefields Parkway is one of the most beautiful drives in the world and at this time of year, there is absolutely no traffic. All I had with me was was my long lens so I captured a few mountain peaks on the early drive home. With snow and clear skies, I processed the images in black and white. A lot of what I learned about black and white processing comes from one of the Canadian Rockies' most distinguished photographers, Paul Zizka. Look him up, his work is awesome. Its where I find my photographic inspiration.
