A great way to set yourself a part from other photographers is to add value! Offer a "What to Wear" guide ... A "Preferred Venues" guide ... A special "Pricing Guide" ...... All branded of course! What other things could you use as add-ons to elevate your customer experience??

I shared this on my photography page yesterday, and thought it worth sharing here as well! I'm going to get real here for a second. I don't know if it's COVID, or just the fact that I have some shit to deal with in my life, but this last year has been super hard on my mental health.... I have taken some steps to help get me on the right track, but one of the things that has helped me the most is walking. Whether I am by myself with some rad tunes in my ear, or I load up the kids in the walking cart, just taking the time to get some fresh air and move around has helped me out tremendously. Anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes. What do YOU do that helps you feel better?

Sometimes a logo that doesn't make the cut still has my heart With my branding process, I show you a few variations of logos so that we can narrow it down and then we move forward with the process!

You know what bothers me? Pop-Ups. Like when you go to a website and a pop-up comes up within the first 5 seconds - before I even get a chance to take in the website and the information on it. Like how the hell am I going to know if I want to sign up for your special offer if I haven't even had a chance to check you out?! ... Who's with me?!!

If the plan doesn't work, change the PLAN but never the GOAL.

New Logo! I loved doing this logo for Sarah! There were specific elements she wanted to tie all together, including Mt Fuji from Japan where her mother is from, and it came together beautifully!

A popular trend in logos - especially with photographers - is a watercolor effect! Watercolor is beautiful BUT depending on what you are using the logo for, it may not transfer well to certain things you want to put your logo on, or if you are needing to display it in black and white. Food for thought ....

I did a little bit of self reflection over the weekend I was getting a little down on myself. Seeing other businesses and wishing "I had that style" or "why can't I create things like that" I just needed to remind myself that I AM HERE. I am where I am. And I can't get to where I need or want to be unless I put in the work and set goes to get there! ... DON'T PLAY THE COMPARISON GAME!! Play the aspiration game! Don't kill your dreams, create them. GET IT GIRL!
