Lord, we pray for those who are heartbroken over the changes that have taken place in our cities and province these last couple of days and weeks. Lord, bring peace to those that are full of anxiety and carrying the weight of what may happen in the coming days and weeks. Shower them with peace and make us into steady pillars for those around us. Even as we are asked to keep our distance from others, help us to find ways to reach out to those who need our support. We pray for ...those whose incomes and livelihoods are threatened again. We pray Lord for Your provision to come and that people will find creative ways to make money, that the faithful will bless others as we have been blessed. We pray for the kids that are struggling online and for those children who are already isolated, lonely and scared. Loving God, give them your peace, and through our hands ensure they have what they need. Sustain, strengthen and protect remind us Lord to be kind and loving to everyone, even if we disagree with their opinions. Remind us, to share hope and not fear. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

Dear God, You have called us from the east and from the west, from the south and from the north to be your body in this world. We ask that You keep us connected, through You, even in our physical distance. Lord, we come to You trusting that You are our refuge and our strength, our very present help in trouble. We pray Lord for those people who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and for the family and medical staff who surround them in care. We pray for those who are most... vulnerable to this disease, whether from underlying health conditions or other contributing factors, we ask that You keep them free of infection and may they rest in Your peace and protection. We pray for healthcare workers and all workers who are in essential roles to keep our communities going. Keep them healthy and keep them safe. We pray for parents and children who are struggling with this new system of home/online school and all the children from grades 7 12, who have been called back to do school from home for these next several weeks. We pray for those children who have relied on school meal programs or those children that school is their place of safety from abuse at home. We pray for everyone struggling with these rapid changes. May we be comforted by Your peace and Your presence. We pray for our leaders, not to be controlled by fear but to make informed wise choices and Lord may they be guided by Your wisdom. And we pray for all the advocates and the volunteers who are responding to Your call to care for the people who are most vulnerable in our communities and around the world. May they be comforted and moved by Your Holy Spirit. It is in the strong and powerful name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
