This has been my experience. Eliminating these foods or reducing them as much as possible is helping me to regain my life. I'm sleeping better, feeling better and more emotionally stable.
Joey speaks to the psychological issues people have with food... This is funny but creating a healthy relationship with how I nurture my body has been critical. At the end of the reel Joey sits, mouth covered in chocolate and says "I'm not even sorry.." Do I need to have that feeling in order to be successful in changing my lifestyle? Or do I need to work on my beliefs about reward and satisfaction. Why do I - why did I - pick food as a reward? I learned it was about control, the only control I had in my life at times.. What I put in my mouth. Working this out was an ahha moment and is leading to more self care because I have more options.
