It's a keeper! Rosemary and Tomato Braised Short Ribs #recipe from Safeway Ingredients: 3 1/2 lb (1.75 kg) beef bone-in chuck short ribs, cut into 2-in. (5-cm) pieces 3/4 tsp (4 mL) each salt and pepper... 2 tbsp (30 mL) canola oil 1 onion, diced 1 carrot, chopped 3 cloves garlic, finely sliced or chopped 3 cloves garlic, finely sliced or chopped 1 tbsp (15 mL) finely chopped fresh rosemary 1/4 cup (60 mL) tomato paste 1 cup (250 mL) red wine 1 can (796 mL) diced tomatoes 1 cup (250 mL) reduced sodium beef broth 2 tbsp (30 mL) chopped parsley Method: -Preheat oven to 300F (150C). Season ribs with salt and pepper. Heat oil in ovenproof Dutch oven or large saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook ribs, in batches, 5 to 7 min. per batch, until browned. Transfer to plate. -Reduce heat to medium. Stir onion, carrot, garlic and rosemary into Dutch oven; cook 5 min. until softened. Mix in tomato paste; cook 1 min. until paste is slightly darkened. Stir in wine; bring to a boil. Stir in tomatoes and broth; bring to a simmer. Return ribs to pan. -Cover and transfer to oven. Cook 21/2 to 3 hr., stirring occasionally, until meat is very tender. Skim fat off sauce. Sprinkle ribs with parsley to serve. -Tip: Serve with creamy polenta and steamed green beans for a hearty meal. #recipes #tomatoes #foodbroker #grocery

Layers of vegetables and chutney, sandwiched between a soft and fluffy Santosh Naan. Heres a great #recipe! Serves: 2 to 4 Prep: 15 min, Cook: 3-4 min Ingredients:... 4 Santosh naan cup Green Chutney 2 Large potatoes, boiled, peeled and sliced thin 2 Ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced 1 Medium red onion, thinly sliced 1 Small cucumber, thinly sliced 4 Tbsp Salted butter, softened Chaat masala powder to taste Ketchup to taste Garlic chutney to taste Salt and freshly ground pepper Green Chutney: 1 Small jalapeno pepper deseeded 2 Cloves of garlic cup Raw, unsalted cashews 1 cups Fresh mint 1 cups Fresh cilantro 1/3 cup Fresh lime juice cup Water 1 tbsp Sugar 2 tsp Ground coriander tsp Salt Process all ingredients in a food processor until they are mixed and have become smooth. Instructions: -Preheat oven to 400F -Place the naan on a baking sheet, spread with butter and heat in the oven for 3-4 minutes or until warm. -Remove from oven and spread green chutney over 2 naan and the ketchup and garlic chutney over the remaining 2 pieces of naan. -Top 2 of the naan with the sliced potatoes, tomatoes, onions and cucumbers, dividing evenly. Sprinkle with chaat masala and salt and pepper. Top with the other 2 pieces of naan -Slice into 4 and serve immediately.

Enjoy! #eatdrinkbuybc #freelancemarketingclients #vegan #recipe -1 Tbsp ground flax seed... -3 Tbsp water -1/2 cup cold vegan margarine -1/2 cup vegan granulated sugar or coconut sugar -1/3 cup packed light brown sugar -1 tsp vanilla extract -3/4 cup New World peanut butter -1 2/3 cup all purpose flour -1 tsp baking soda -1/2 tsp salt -1/8 tsp ground nutmeg Combine the flax seed and water in a small bowl and set them aside. Add margarine and sugars to a large bowl with the flax mixture and vanilla extract. Combine in the peanut butter, flour, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg until well mixed. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350F. Bake the cookies for 11-12 minutes until just they turn golden.

Time for a quick and easy new Gobi Masala Cauliflower #recipe from Teja Foods - find these authentic Indian food products and spices in your BC Stores! Total time: 30 mins INGREDIENTS 1 Whole cauliflower... 1/4c Ghee 1 Onion, chopped 6 Cloves garlic, minced 2 Fresh green chillies, diced 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, minced 2 tsp Teja masala 1 tbsp Teja coriander, ground 1/2 tsp Teja cinnamon, ground 2 tbsp Ground almonds 1/4c Desiccated coconut 2 tsp Lemon juice 1 Tomato, Chopped 1/4c Yogurt INSTRUCTIONS Leave cauliflower whole, remove leaves and cut away stem.Wash and dry. In a 2 cup microwaveable bowl, heat ghee uncovered at high for 90 seconds or until very hot. Stir in onions, garlic, chillies, ginger and spices. Microwave uncovered at high for 1 or 2 mins or until sizzling. Stirring in remaining ingredients. Rub mixture over entire cauliflower, filling all the space. Arrange upright in a shallow microwaveable dish such as a pie plate. Cover with parchment paper and cook on high in microwave for 8 to 12 mins. or until tender when pierced with a knife. (Cooking time will vary with size of cauliflower). Let stand 5 to 10 mins. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chillies if desired. #recipes #indianfood #bc #grocery

Try this Muhammara #recipe from Everland Natural Foods it makes a healthy and delicious dip or sauce! 3 red peppers 3 cloves garlic, with skins 1/2 c walnuts, whole ... 2 TB Sherry vinegar 1 tsp Hungarian paprika 1/4 c sunflower oil 1/2 tsp salt A few cracks pepper Preheat oven to broil on low. Roast peppers with skin on till charred, rotating as they cook. Remove and let cool. Remove skins and seeds. Heat cast iron skillet on low. Dry roast walnuts, tossing to brown all sides. Add all ingredients except oil and salt and pepper to blender and blend on low. Add oil slowly once all ingredients are blended, blend again on low, add salt and pepper to taste.
