Day 30 - Control Balance . We are getting toward the end of the original mat sequence, and this one just puts everything to the test.. balance, control, strength, decompression, breath, flexibility, you name it . Day 29 - Rocking (on a snow drift ) . You never know what weather you’re going to get in March in Canada.. kind of like Rocking, you never know, day to day, what you’re going to get in this much extension . Press your feet into your hands to extend more at the hip rather than bending into the back ... . #marchmatness2021 #contrology #returntolife #mindbodyspirit #josephpilates
Day 28 - Seal and Crab . More rolling, with a little flare! If your Rolling Like a Ball is feeling good, try interlacing you’re arms through your legs to the outside arch of your foot and try some claps at each side of your roll. Keep hips high to prevent compressing the head and neck. . Seal should feel really solid before you go on to Crab. Crab just adds a few leg switches and a complete roll forward. Rib cage always pulling up towards the sky and long neck so you don’t c...ompress here either. Try it with a spotter first, or a pillow in front incase you face plant.. it happens! Day 25 - Side Kick Kneeling . These are hard and I don’t recommend doing them without a warm up. That being said, if you are doing the whole mat sequence and you get to these, they feel great. . .... Day 23 - Swimming . Time for a little extension after Teaser and Hip Circles . .... Keep the length in your extension so you don’t jam into your lower back and then just go for it! Just doing CAT with my good friend Earl Grey @pilateskatt @pilatesfestnorth . . I love Pilat-EHS because it is fun and playful!
