Today is Marty’s last day at Freeride. To say he has been the face of my Westside shop is a complete understatement. He has worked for me for 13+ years...and he has truly been my right hand man. I’ve consulted Marty on every decision...big or small. He’s talked me down from some ledges, made sure I didn’t make any knee jerk reactions, and guided us through this retail journey together. We’ve built new stores, closed old stores, shredded ridiculous pow together, caught wa...ves together, laughed together, made tough decisions together...spent a lot of time together. After 13 years I am happy to say that Marty has become a good friend of mine...someone who I can trust, someone who I respect, someone whose company I enjoy, and most importantly someone who I can lean on when times are tough.
