We are winding down the 2020 season at the Trading Post. 3 hours to go. Thank you to our amazing staff for getting us through the season, COVID FREE!!!! Our staff endured abuse, bullying and harassment by some anti mask customers through out the season. Our Staff PUSHED ON, Nothing got them down, They all came to work smiling and laughing every day. We know it wasn't easy, and we appreciate you all so much. Thank you to all our loyal amazing customers who lined up in th...e rain to shop, put up with our no washroom policy and our covid policies with no problem. Everyone's combined effort helped to keep us all safe. We are grateful and will now take a well deserved rest until we will, God willing, open in April , according to the state of the country. You DO NOT have to go through North Bay to get to Sudbury, Please use 511 or WAYZE for better information on highway closeure. CHANGE TO HOURS OF OPERATION: The Trading Post will be open Thursday to Monday, starting October 19th. Hours of operation are now, 9 to 5 except Sundays , when we will be open 10:00am to 5:00pm. Thank you everyone!!!! It was just amazing to see you all this weekend. Thank you for waiting in the rain to shop! It wasn't business as usual but you sure helped us reach some goals we could only have hoped to reach back in April when we were deciding to open or not. The Hungry Bear restaurant remains open for curb side pick up take away only. You have to call in your order from a designated restaurant pick up spot. Staff will bring your order to you at your vehicle. Patio is closed Picnic tables are not available... Washrooms are closed for the season. Masks must be worn properly at all times inside the Trading Post No exceptions. 20 people only at a time inside the Post. The Hungry Bear and Blueberry Hound will appear by request only. Debit or Credit cards only, no cash. Verbal abuse, inapropriate and or offensive, threatening language or harassment of our staff will not be tolerated. We are a privately owned, non essential business remaining commited to keeping our staff and family safe. No, I don’t live in fear of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem. The government is not "controlling me; I’m being a contributing adult to society and I want to teach others the same. The world doesn’t revolve around me. It’s not all about me and my comfort. If we all could live with other people's consideration in mind, this whole world would be a much better place. Wearing a mask doesn’t make me weak, scared, stupid, or even controlled. It makes me considerate. When you think about how you look, how uncomfortable it is, or what others think of you, just imagine someone close to you - a child, a father, a mother, grandparent, aunt, or uncle - choking on a respirator , alone without you or any family member allowed at bedside. Ask yourself if you could have sucked it up. Was it worth the risk? Wearing a mask is not political. It’s a public health choice! See more
