Frenchman Butte Museum 11.06.2021

The members of the Frenchman Butte Museum Society Inc. are deeply saddened by the loss of Gertrude Preece or "Gertie" as we all knew and loved her. We appreciated her dedication as a volunteer member of the museum for many years. She knew a great deal about the history of this area, enjoyed touring visitors and of course, her green thumbs and hard work helped shape and beautify many areas of the museum grounds for years. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to all who knew and loved her. She will certainly be missed.

Tom & Marilyn Hougham are two of our very dedicated volunteers here at the Frenchman Butte Museum. Here is a little message from them both. DON'T FORGET.....We are open until 5 PM on Monday, September 7, 2020 so there is still time to come visit! We have SO MUCH HISTORY to share with you! You will be glad you came! Of course, a relaxing cup of tea or coffee in the Log Cabin Tea House will be the perfect way to complete your visit. See You SOON!! (and thanks for sharing!)... #Canadianhistory #museum #memorabledays #welcome #frenchmanbutte

It’s our LAST weekend of the season and since it’s a long one, we decided to put on a little something special, a small "shindig" if you will! We invite you and your "bubble" of loved ones to come and enjoy a delicious brunch with us on MONDAY, September 7, 2020 served from 10 AM to 2 PM. (we couldn’t find the sausages emoji, lol )... Please feel free to help us spread the word and as always, we thank you for your loyal support as a community and look forward to seeing you on Monday! #brunch #community #museum #lastday #summeradventure #countrydrive

Rudy Buchta, one of our great museum tour guides, gives you a "sneak peek" in the CN Building, which is where our museum began back in 1979! Come on in! Better yet, come on over and take a tour! There are several buildings full of interesting artifacts! We are open until the end of Monday, September 7, 2020. SO MUCH HISTORY! You will be glad you came! Of course, a relaxing cup of tea or coffee in the Log Cabin Tea House will be the perfect way to complete your visit. See You SOON!! One word - GRATEFUL! From the volunteer members of the Frenchman Butte Museum Society Inc., we wish to thank the amazing group of volunteers who helped us achieve a successful fundraiser on Sunday (sorry we missed a few of you in the photo) during our impromptu "PIE DAY" as we served homemade pies in the afternoon! Of course, the day’s success could not have happened without our friends, museum visitors and wonderful community folk who never fail to support museum and c...ommunity events in this beautiful hamlet of Frenchman Butte! YOU are the reason we wanted to share some cheer! Thank YOU from the bottom of our for your continued support (this spur of the moment idea went SPLENDIDLY well as a fundraiser for the museum)! We look forward to our next event! Who knows when that will be??? Best to turn on your notifications on our fan page See more
