Hey! Since we have so many new people over here, I wanted to take the time to introduce you all to myself (Nancy), and our brand, Freon Collective! I have a B.Des in Fashion, and worked in the fashion/blogging industry before starting up Freon Collective. I’m originally from Calgary, but have lived in Toronto for almost 9 years now! Freon Collective was born out of my experience in the blogging industry and realizing how much waste we’re contributing to the environment.... I started by making my own cotton rounds, posted a blog post about them, and several members of the blogging community said they would love to try them too! Over time I sourced organic cotton, higher quality materials, and opened an @etsy shop in 2019. Up until recently, I’ve been the manager of everything (maker, production, marketing, accountant, photographer, editor, social media). We hired a studio assistant in 2020, and I’ve been lucky enough to work with so many talented people like, @corebuiltinc, @jocelynneflor and @jenna.caswell.designs (coming soon!) to expand and improve our brand. In 2021 we moved into our new studio in @distilleryto. I have big plans to open a small in-studio retail space, but we’re also taking our time with this while we’re in lockdown and supplies are limited . I’m usually listening to podcasts while working. My favs are @swishflickcast, @chattybroads, @simplypodlogical, and @canadiantruecrimepod.
