Happy Earth Day! Did you know wool is 100% biodegradable? Unlike synthetic garments which only break down into smaller and smaller micro-plastics that pollut...e our land, sea and air. Make the responsible choice for the planet. #choosewool
Natural, sustainable and at the end of it's lifespan, biodegradable. Healthier homes, healthier communities, healthier environment. Wool for the win!
Another great example of how sheep can help create circular economies. Eating Christmas trees to grow wool, that can then be used for new sweaters, that can be... put under new Christmas trees. If that wasn't enough decades later when you're done with your sweater, you can bury it under a new tree and the resulting nutrients will help grow a fresh one to continue feeding those sheep. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5856060 #circleofwool #choosewool #christmastree #woolforchristmas

This tim...e he has set his sights on reviving New Zealand’s strong wool industry. He has invented a biodegradable material called Keravos which combines strong wool and polylactic acid (PLA) from corn-starch to make a viable alternative to plastic. Wool weighs less than PLA, so the more wool you use the better providing it is paying a fair price to farmers. So far, furniture, pots and crockery have been made using pellets of the Keravos product. Read more about it here: https://www.stuff.co.nz//serial-kiwi-inventor-banking-on-c See more

To date, Hoysted is approaching 50 million views on his channel with more than 48 million views coming from one video alone. It’s come as a shock to Hoysted."
