Over the summer I got stung a few times by some tiny wasps behind our oldest greenhouse. I eventually figured out that they had an underground hive and just steered clear of that general area for the rest of the summer. (The stings were really bad) I finally found time today to pull up the wood on the ground that they had nested under. It was quite impressive, they had hollowed out a space the size of a soccer ball and built a hive the size of a volleyball within.
