Hi all. Not sure what to do, hoping our community might be able to help. Sarah Baum had her bag stolen out of her car from the Holiday Inn hotel parking lot. Th...e one near the superstore. It had all of her cycling, skiing and snowshoeing soft gear, and her snowshoes. Really hoping to find a way to get her gear back, she had a trip planned in thunder bay, but this really took that away from her. Feeling so upset, don’t know what to do. Thought there may be a chance it gets dumped on the trails near the superstore, or somewhere near. Just putting this out there, hoping for hope and better fortune. :(

Ski Poles are far more than just sticks that push you along while you ski. ---------- There are many factors to be considered when choosing a set of poles. Materials: the material of the grip can help your hands stay warmer, what the shaft is made of will help transfer more power to the ground, and the tip can give you better traction on the ground... Length: You want poles up to the tip of your nose for skate and under your armpit for classic Features: Quick release straps are a nice feature for convenience and swappable baskets are great if you’re using the same poles for skiing and rollerskiing. Gotta get that kick! ---------- If you haven't checked out the kick zone technologies in the last couple years, do yourself a favor and check out our classic ski options. The traditional fish scales are a great ski to learn on and will always kick well.... If you wanna go a bit faster and still don't want to worry about applying your own kick wax, skins are a great option. The felt strip is smooth in one direction and rough in the other. Great kick. When you're looking for as much speed as you can get, the waxable option is the way to go. Wax is chosen for the specific conditions on the day to insure the best kick and glide possible.
