Hi to all my future clients! I thought I would write to you what I am doing differently since covid has hit. First off, what is the difference between cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting? Cleaning is as basic as swiping the crumbs off the table. You are removing debris. Sanitizing, is wiping a surface with some kind of cleaner and cloth. It takes care of the majority of germs. That is what most of my work entails. Disinfecting is using a special cleaning agent that gets ri...d of even more germs, and usually has to stay wet on a surface anywhere from 5-15 minutes to work. I typically only use this in the toilet bowl. As house cleaners, our time and therefore cost would be too long and costly to start discinfecting every surface. I have always sanitized touch points such as door handles and light switches. What has changed since covid? I now require an empty house, or at the most only one person who is able to be in a room I don’t do, or move to another room. I wear a mask.period. I wear shoes and uniforms that are discinfected between houses. I discinfect all my tools between clients, which means I will be vacuuming with your vacuum. Same smile.
