My reading really fell behind in April. I had a really hard time concentrating on books the past few weeks. I’ve been hyper-focused on Covid news because Alberta’s numbers are so bad. I’m going to try to focus on reading more for May. My favourite reads last month were The Book of Negroes and Klara and the Sun. Both 5 #brandyreads

Once upon a time I felt like I had things to say. But I don’t these days so here’s a picture of Max that I never shared.

Mini eggs are the only good eggs. The Easter Bunny seemed to go a little overboard this year, I think there was a change in management. The kids have so many chocolate eggs, I think we will need to have a fondue night soon!

I had to take a photo of this @sugarbakerscookieco cookie for NYE. First because it sums up this year so well, it doesn’t need explanation. But secondly, Amelia’s biggest insult in the world is to say STINK!. She will yell it at you, she will walk by you and mutter it under her breath, she will look at you and just say it with venom. She doesn’t add anything else, and it’s so perfect in its simplicity. Stink. ... So yup 2020. Stink indeed. See more

It was exactly 5 days ago that I said I want to keep the Christmas stuff up forever. Now I’m very itchy to take it down. I think we will make it to January 1st as usual but I don’t know if I can make it to the (hopefully) end of restrictions! Also, those glasses are . . . something else

Do you read more than one book at a time? I usually have an upstairs book, a downstairs book and a library e-book on the go. I brought my downstairs book upstairs because I’m almost done The Vanishing Half and I love it so much I’m trying not to finish it I’ve also saved the Throne of Glass series for the winter break so I’m super excited for snowy days spent reading. ... #brandyreads
