Mx Freya Frostbite, Ottawa's ice queen/fay creature/super villainess (drag performer) is here! check out this footage of my drag debut at the Gender Reveal Party, a magical show our together by Master Cameron Eric Leonn , Cyril Cinder and Miles Zinya ... (Miles and Cameron are the gorgeous humans introducing me). I honestly could not have asked for a better place to birth Freya Frostbite: the other performers were all so talented and powerful, it was electric and inspirati...onal- the stories everyone told on stage were so beautiful, it was one of the greatest privileges of my life to be up there with them. And the audience was pure enthusiasm, acceptance and energy thank you all so much for such a warm welcome to this ice queen! (Also the fact that Freya was born in a terrible blizzard made all my ice queen fantasies come true and was pure Disney magic for me) Diversity and unique expressions of gender and identity is the most fucking beautiful thing on this planet and I am so happy I got to be a part of an event that celebrates that and have the opportunity show some of my truest self on stage. As I was developing this act, drag very quickly changed from something I "wanted" to do into something I NEEDED to. Freya has always been there, showing up in past artistic endeavors and life experiences, but directly acknowledging them, naming her, and panting their face on mine was actually EVERYTHING.
