Starting Thursday, June.4th we will be doing curbside pickup for customers who have preordered items. We will be making an effort to contact people who's items are coming in ahead of time so they can setup a pickup time on Thursdays between 11am & 7PM. This is once again ONLY for curbside pickup. No browsing in the store and lingering around coofing on me. Keep in mind the industry itself is still in a massive flux. DC orders are coming from two different distributors on days... that I don't even know, not to mention a plethora of cancelled titles. We're pretty much going to be disorganized chaos for the next few months, but were here if you have any questions. Just keep your expectations low. There is going to be missed books, late books, extra books, wrong books. As always though, at the end of the day if you get shorted due to me or the publisher, or the distro's, I will get you your cash back in your hands. See ya Thursdays!

Another Covid Update regardings CBCS this time: As you know Canada and the United States are currently dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak that has spread through North America. During this time, please know that there will be no orders being shipped out for any of our services. We ask that if you have not shipped your items to us, please do not until the Stay in Place has been lifted in Ontario. Once the unnecessary travel restrictions have been lifted our ser...vice levels will return to normal. Beckett/CBCS will continue to answer as many calls and emails as possible during this time so please feel free to reach out to me if necessary. So Im doing something new & and possibly fun. I have attached a couple of photos for your viewing pleasure, but in essence I have over 50 longboxes, I dont even know how many short b...oxes, plus slabs, con variants, TPBs...not to mention statues, Funkos, SOCKS FOR YOUR FEET :O and other goodies. If anyone is looking for specific books, titles, runs, keys, or pretty much anything, I am making boxes with said individuals names on it and as I search through this bounty of goods Im pulling everything that individual requested, putting in said box, and sending out pictures and prices to those people. No obligation to buy of course but I thought it would be an easy way for me to sort things, and for you to source things. Right now all things Spawn, and all things TMNT are spoken for; which means if there is something you want post it below and Ill make a box for you. Its first come, first serve. I wont have two people wanting Spawn stuff. If two people want the same thing then whatever person 1 passes up on can go to person 2, and so on and so forth. So sally forth and share with me your deepest comic (or whatever) desires.

Hello Comic aficionados! During the current world situation, I have altered the FNCS FB private group from a center meant for signatures and grading on comics to something of the following: - Online sales and auctions by our store, as well as potential ones from customers.... - A place for up-to-date industry news - A "safe space" for customers to discuss all things comics. Access to the group will still need to be moderator approved, but the rules have been loosened, discussions are encouraged, and friendly/sarcastic banter is acceptable. So we have received our last shipment from Diamond "until further notice" and I will be at the store from 11am-7pm tomorrow for pick ups. Once again, this is for pick ups only and not shelf shopping. The door will be locked, so just knocked and I will hand a bag of whatever is in your file from this week and last week out to you. Any questions can be sent to [email protected]... And with new titles being on hold, Im going to be moving our instock graphic novels and product to www.comicshop.ninja for anyone who is interested in catching up on some older, and generally BETTER story lines. Our mail service is still an option, and if need be for any substantial sized orders I could meet you at the store to do an exchange if Im contacted ahead of time and we set up a date and time. Some Terrible industry news to share with you all. We just found out as well...from a good customer, since Diamond didnt think to let retailers know before the general public, so as of right now we have no official ...stance? on what were doing with anything regarding orders, preorders, the store in general etc. Just know we will NOT leave anyone in the lurch for prepaid books. Store update #2 Ok, lots of interest in what we’re doing out there, and we have talked amongst ourselves as well we have been in touch with our Winnipeg warehouse, our courier and Diamond Comics. The only other part of the chain here which we have not been in contact with is whatever shipment method Diamond uses to get books from their warehouse to Canada, and of course Canada Border and Customs. We've been struggling with this decision for a while now, but the time has come where we have decided to close the doors for the near future due to covid-19. With all of us having sick elderly parents, myself having pre-existing conditions that put me in the red-dead zone if I get infected, and children now at home, it is the only reasonable choice that can be made when dealing with a contagion that can last over a week on any surface...including money. It's also a matter of ...time before one of the 4 other parties in our supply chain shutdown, so this pre-emptive closure won't make much of a difference when new stock stops showing up. That being said, orders can still be placed on the website https://comicshop.ninja THAT being said, due to covid again, we have had to lower our discounts in a big way on pre-ordered items (not in store products). With the weakening Canadian dollar testing the 1.4 exchange rate, our margins have completely dried up to nearing the point of a loss on books ordered last month and earlier this month. We will obviously still honor those discount prices on those books that were already purchased, but moving forward the discounts have been slashed, and we're contemplating a new system altogether that does not leave us at the mercy of economic crisis's and fluctuating exchange rates. It really must be nice to be a comic shop in the United States where the cover price is the price and your cost on a book doesn't vary by xx% every week in an industry you pre-order two months in advance.
