Friends Fur Life Havanese

Who else has cats (or other pets) with their Havanese? How did the introduction go, & how do they get along now? Stella was a bit curious when we brought the kitties home, but didn't bark or seem too bothered. Most of the time over the past few days, she leaves if they get too close (especially in the evenings, when they're particularly rambunctious). Sometimes she'll play with them tho, shown in the next video

No puppies yet, but here's a bit of kitten cuteness . We got them to help with rodents, scorpions & snakes out at the acreage . Will be sharing how the intro with Stella went as well

3 exciting things are happening, so I want to share with you guys! 1. We recently found out our offer was accepted for a 2.47 acre acreage (first 6 pictures). It's in a lovely location, nestled in the mountains near Maricopa AZ 2. Rocky is one heck of a stud, & we think he may have snuck some pups into Stella just before we left (I'd like her to take a cycle off this year, but it's looking like we'll aim for taking the Fall cycle off instead). Getting a proper setup at t...he new acreage is my first order of business, to keep that little puppy-making missile under control 3. We have started the process of acquiring AKC registered breeding dogs, & this little guy will be our first stud with open registration (meaning pups coming from him, that are mated with a registered female, will have papers)! I kinda fell into the breeding world accidentally, when we planned to get Stella fixed 3 years ago, & found out she was expecting. Now, it's all I want to do, & I'd like to do it properly! That means sourcing all our future pups from ethical breeders, implementing new procedures, & doing the best I can to continue improving the Havanese breed. I could go on, but I'll leave at this: exciting things are coming & I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with you all! Hey everyone! First, I'd like to see how all your pups are doing - please share a pic & update if you like! Doesn't matter if you bought from us or not, I love seeing alll the doggies Second, I'd like to share a little update on us! We have moved South to Arizona, & are in the process of hunting for an acreage to continue/expand Friends Fur Life Havanese. It's been a wild ride, as we are currently living in a 2 bedroom condo, & we're only allowed to have 2 dogs. So, our ...friends who bought all our Canadian properties (& living in our old house), are watching Rocky & Lucy. Stella came with us, & is being spoiled with all the attention from our 3 kiddos. Thankfully our friends back in Canada also have a daughter, so Lucy & Rocky are getting lots of love too . This leads to my final comment... Lastly, we are likely expecting a litter in the next month or so from Lucy & Rocky. My intent with taking Stella with us, was largely to give her a break between litters. So, Lucy should have 3-4 pups sometime soon (one of which is already claimed by our friends watching the dogs, because they obviously fell in love with the breed ). We do have a wait list, & I'm not accepting anymore applicants at this time, but I just wanted to provide this info for clarity from those waiting . We plan to continue breeding, & I'm working closely with 2 experienced, registered breeders to offer registered Havanese in the near future. Canada will always have a special place in my heart, so we also plan to continue selling to Canadians when we're all setup/reunited down here. Westjet was fantastic in our experience, & they even allow dogs to be placed under the seats for owners who aren't comfortable with the pet cargo option (we personally did cargo due to having 3 wild kids on the plane , & they were really amazing at taking care of Stella). Pet rates are really reasonable too (we paid $100+tax), & I can help those interested throughout the process Thanks as always for following along - looking forward to seeing your updates!
