The countdown is on to this year’s Annual Christmas Bird Count at RMNP. Friends of RMNP is once again organizing this year’s count, which will take place on Tuesday December 15th. As in the past, we are looking for volunteers to take to the trails and roadways by foot, ski, snowshoe or vehicle to look, listen and record the number of birds seen in their search area. And this year, more than ever, we are encouraging feed watchers to participate from the comfort of their homes!... The Christmas bird count is open to anyone interested in birds and learning more about the species that live in RMNP count area. We are asking that everyone who participates be COVID SAFE comply with all current public health guidelines, practise physical distancing and wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
