AUDITION NOTICE Young performers from across Canada are invited to submit video auditions for the 2021 Young Company, in partnership with TD Ready Commitmen...t. The season will run from June to August, as a part of The Charlottetown Festival at Confederation Centre of the Arts. This summer, the Young Company will present THE RISING!, exploring moments where society has come together to stand up for civil and judicial rights. Submissions are welcome from people of all cultures, genders, and identities, with varying degrees of experience. Applicants are reminded that if they play a musical instrument or speak languages other than English, this ability should be showcased in their video audition. Traditional songs, dances, and speeches are also welcomed and encouraged. The deadline for submission is April 4, 2021. Learn more and apply: https://confederationcentre.com/auditions/

Friends of the Confederation Centre of the Arts 11.01.2021

AUDITION Notice Confederation Centre of the Arts and Artistic Director Adam Brazier are planning a series of Anti-Valentine’s Day concerts, entitled Lover...s' Lament. These cabaret performances will take place on the Mainstage on various dates throughout February. The Centre is seeking BIPOC actors/singers. Candidates must be from within Atlantic Canada, legally able to work in Canada, and able to work in P.E.I. in January and February. The Centre strongly encourages submissions from people of all backgrounds, cultures, genders, abilities, and identities, with varying degrees of experience. Those interested should please send an unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link to: [email protected]. Videos should be in a head and shoulders frame, and include the following: introduction, performance of one musical theatre song, as well as a performance of one song of performer’s choice. The deadline for submission is January 11, 2021.
