Celebrating St. George's Day with pictures of one of the wonders of the world. Built in the 12th century, tradition has it that 10 rock churches were built in Lalibela in Ethiopia. Then St, George appeared to the king in a vision and demanded that an 11th church be constructed. The result is this amazing structure built from the top down, and then hollowed out. Today, in small caves hollowed in the surrounding sides, hermits still live.
