Happy Easter Everyone! In lieu of chocolate, flowers, or paska, we have picked a gift for you from our archives. If you have ever been to our Silska Domivka and wondered "How did they get this giant barn here!?" Well, wonder no further... have that query answered in a mere seven minutes of cinematic footage. You may even spot someone that you know. Enjoy https://youtu.be/p4RNuWXX3iM

Today is the best day of the year to donate to the Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society! Today only, CanadaHelps will add $2 to your donation of $20 or more to help increase your impact. Donate today! Here is a little wiki-history on Giving Tuesday:... Giving Tuesday began as an idea in 2011, the brainchild of the non-profit Mary-Arrchie Theater Company in Chicago and then-producing director Carlo Lorenzo Garcia, who urged shoppers via The Huffington Post to take a different approach; to consider donating to charity after they had finished their Cyber Monday shopping. He suggested the name Cyber Giving Monday. The initiative was officially founded the following year and branded as "GivingTuesday" by the 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season (Black Friday and Cyber Monday). https://www.canadahelps.org//friends-of-the-ukrainian-vil/
Our favorite photo from this trip. This is Exaltation of the Holy Cross (Innisfree). Built in 1910 and not used for some time. It is open to the elements but st...ill standing strong and has so much character. We have many more pictures and will do a longer post in the future. #abandonedchurch #abandonedchurches #abandonedalberta #explorealberta See more

The good news is that you now have all the pieces you need to complete your own official, bonafide, authentic, genuine HCPTV certificate! The other good news is that you can learn how to make nalysnyky "summer kitchen style". Enjoy the show, thank you for following us this season, and if you want to support the Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society Historical Children's Programming, you can always make a tax receiptable donation towards it.
