Fresh pork ribs available now. Seasoned or unseasoned pork side ribs and back ribs. I like to think of ribs as a fix it and forget it type of meal. Just wrap them tightly in tin foil and put them in the oven on 250 for 3-4 hours. In this weather, I don't bbq but it works well to broil them in the oven at the end. It really is simple and your family will think you are amazing.

Now selling farm fresh eggs from one of our neighbours. These are beautiful eggs for $4.00/dozen. You can pick up your breakfast meats on the same trip. Breakfast sausage patties, breakfast sausage links, and bacon will make your meal complete.

Who doesn't love bacon? In my completely unbiased opinion, Friesen's makes the best bacon. We use lean pork so we don't end up with bacon that's mostly fat. Or recipe also has an awesome flavor. Come out and taste it for yourself. We will have samples ready all day tomorrow (Friday).

What a busy summer! Now it's time to start thinking about school and harvest again. What do you send for snacks in the combine and what do you pack in your kids' lunch? We have been busy getting some new products ready for you. We now sell ham sticks and jalapeno sticks! We have also redone our beer stick recipe so they are now gluten-free. $3.00 for 2 sticks. Send the sticks as they come or cut them up to serve with crackers and cheese. Stop in Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00.

Canada Day is fast approaching. As a staff, we have decided to take Monday as our holiday instead of Wednesday next week. Therefore we will be closed Monday, June 29th, and open on Wednesday, July 1st.

I've been slowly cooking my way through some of the things we sell. These BBQ pork side ribs made a great staff lunch. I am not the greatest cook on earth so I go for things that are simple. The long weekend is upon us. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Friesen's. Since COVID-19 hit, we, like a lot of others have been busier than ever. The staff here has really pulled together and gone above and beyond to see that we can keep up with demand. We will be closed on Monday for a well-deserved break but back on Tuesday, ready to serve. I love that I work at a meat shop. I don't have to brave going to the grocery store for my ground beef, I just bring it home after work. Some of my customers have been mentioning that ground beef is hard to find in the stores these days. Friesen's, on the other hand, has plenty. I know a lot of you have been asking questions about what we are doing during the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, we are still open for business.
