Performing arts centres were among the first to shut down and will be last to reopen. This effects not just performers but admin workers, technical staff, box office administration, maintenance workers and so many more. Venues across the country will light up their dark theatres, concert halls, convention centres and festival grounds with red lights today from 7-9pm to illuminate the financial devastation of an industry gone dark.Let's not forget the joy these places bring and the people who work so hard to make it so.
