FINALLY A LITTLE GOOD NEWS !! Families have been waiting to hear whether their Special Services at Home funding would be effected by the new Ontario budget. I spoke with a representative from SSAH this morning and was delighted to hear that families who already had SSAH funding in place last year will be receiving the same amount this year. Paperwork to this effect should be mailed out within the next two weeks. Unfortunately, those still awaiting approval will have to rema...in patient.The SSAH agency is still waiting for direction on applications submitted after Dec 2017. These applications had been put on a wait list for approval, whether they will be approved or remain frozen is still unknown. I will continue to follow this process and share any new information I receive. Families who have been approved may begin using their support funding immediately as it will be still have the usual commencing date of April 1st. See more
