Today in Calgary, it’s -36c (-32.8F). No matter which system you use... it’s COLD outside ! So, we’re going to share a shot we took on 31 January of our boys, Ace and his brother Chubba who are 4 year old #bordercollie . This shot was taken in the amazing ghost town of Rowley, Alberta on our recent travel photography shoot. I was call the boys my favourite models and as you can see from their facial expressions, they love to ham it up for the cameras, . If you live in #alberta, please stay safe and warm today. #almostspring

Hi everyone! As dog lovers ourselves, we are posting this photo in hopes that our #YYC #Calgary followers may be able to help this family. Their dog, Leeza, got away from a trainer in Confluence Park near West Nose Hill Park area. If you see this dog, please don’t chase her but call the number in the photo immediately. Please send this to your followers also and spread the word. Thanks so much Calgary! #dog #dogsofinstagram #yyc #yycliving @sobelonglobal @jeromyfarkas #yycpets @globalcalgary #nosehillpark #love #petsofinstagram

The hamlet of Rowley, Alberta just north of Drumheller once boasted a population of 500 persons in the 1920’s but today that has dwindled to 8 persons who are the caretakers of the privately owned area. Rowley has been used as a movie set in several movies, the best known being Bye Bye Blues. Due to its popularity as a set it was given the name Rowleywood which can been seen on highway56 and Township road 324. The 3 grain elevators seen here were in operation from 1917 to 1989 and were constructed by F.W. McDougall Construction Co. Please visit the Rowley Alberta Facebook group for updates and information on tours and pizza night activities.
