an update~ About 7 months ago I started reaching out through the post to a handful of queer folx around North America, asking them to pen a letter to their younger/former queer selfto send this former self thanks, warning, reflection, and so on. The words these participants shared with me choke me up every time I read through them. I’m humbled to be trusted with these personal stories and under their guidance I can’t wait to share them with the world. Originally I set out t...o have this work published by Winter 2021, and, well, we’re now into Spring. Time has been a weird concept lately, even more so because @fruitcakepress is a project I run during my (limited) free time, after my full time job. I have however applied for a @bcartscouncil grant that would potentially help fund this project, compensate the participants and mentors. So I guess I’m making this post to say stay tuned? I can’t say when exactly this project will take form, but...soon. xx Fruitcake
