FSAY Presents- Our official merch for the year 2021: KAYUMANGGI Kayumanggi is one of the distinct words that cannot be directly translated. The use of kayumanggi in terms of our message refers to the skin complexion of Filipinos. For example having fair skin due to Chinese, Japanese or Spaniard lineage or even having a deeper complexion due to strong Indigenous blood. FSAY wants to celebrate the skin colour we were all given. Beauty standards in the Philippines glori...fy fair skin and actively promotes skin whitening products. FSAY wants to help pave the way to normalizing our natural skin because it is one way that makes us unique and beautiful. In light of the Anti-Asian and Pacific Islander violence that angered the entire Asian-Canadian and Pacific Islander community, we have decided to take action via donating $5 from each product purchased to the #StopAsianHate Support the AAPI Community Fund found on our linktr.ee. We are now taking preorders! Preorder form is found on our linktr.ee bio. We only accept e-Transfer payments sent to [email protected]. Give us 2 weeks for us to gather all orders. Mabuhay Pamilya! We had an amazing time with all 15 Filipino Student Associations across Canada reflecting on various topics prevalent to our Filipinx-Canadian experiences in our identities, our experiences during the pandemic, as well as our lives as students in university. The conversations helped us to connect with one another though far apart, gain insight from each other, make new friendships and deepen connections. It was wonderful to see the Filipino Student Associations come together in this way despite the circumstances! We hope that one day we would be able to do this event in person with all our pamilyas together
