The Salvation Army’s iconic Christmas kettle helps raise awareness and gives hope to the millions of people living in poverty today. However, this year, due to COVID-19 you will see fewer Kettle volunteers than before. You can donate to our kettles in person or online by clicking the link below. Donating will give hope, food, and shelter to struggling families in Fort St. John.
Christmas will look different this year and we are taking measures at our kettles for everyone’s safety. Bell ringers will adhere to strict policies, protocols, and follow provincial and local public health guidelines. We’re here to keep our volunteers safe while they’re serving the community. The Salvation Army is grateful to the Government of Canada for the $11.25 million it provided to The Salvation Army for food security during the COVID-19 pandemic. The graphic below illustrates how it has been distributed to date. We also acknowledge and appreciate our many Salvation Army staff and volunteers who have worked hard to ensure Canadians who needed it the most received safe, nutritious, and culturally diverse food.

It's time to prepare for Christmas Hampers again! This year we are expecting to distribute 300 hampers!! Hampers include a full Christmas meal, toys, and a gift card. It costs us about $30,000 to make this happen. If you would like to partner with us this year, please call 250-261-1933 to sponsor a family or make a donation.
