Gentle Pet Clinic Ltd. 09.12.2020

As veterinary services are considered an essential part of our community for our little fur babies, we as the team of Gentle Pet Clinic, want to extend our help to the community through our services when our community is going through hard times due to COVID 19. Keeping that in mind we are offering some services as follows: 1. There will be reduced fees for examination for everyone whether you are coming for first time or are a regular client of our clinic. 2. Keeping the cur...rent situation in mind surgeries will be based on need of procedure. 3. Keeping in mind regarding the steps taken by the Canadian Government about social distancing, we are asking than no more than 1 client / family be in the clinic at one time. We are also ready to extend our help at any hour at no emergency cost. 4. We are making sure to do proper CLEANING PROTOCOLS in the clinic every few hours with proper disinfectants and providing people gloves, masks and sanitizers during their visit. 5. For any kind of refill or food we are just a call away. 6. In the event deemed neccessary curbside or delievery can be made based on circumstances. See more

Gentle Pet Clinic Ltd. 09.11.2020

Hello Fort St. John Pet Community, It has been brought to my attention that there are several posts on several social media pages that are indicating bad information about the clinic. We ultimately are responsible for the care and customers requests when their loved ones are brought to us. Although I did not do the prints myself I am ultimately responsible for my staff and what we do here in my absence. We will review this matter and in the future and make better conclusions ...when situations are not going to yield the best results. We take the utmost care and compassion when we are entrusted with your family members, but sometimes situations are not at the premium. When an animal has passed at home about more than 24 hours ago and brought to us, it can be difficult to get the results wanted because of natural changes that occur afterwords. We will do our best to get the best results. It is very hard to get prints from a paw when it is well after the fact of death and solid/hard. I would also like to address the cremation remains. All remains come in a plastic bag inside a box from the crematorium unless special arrangements are requested. Any questions or concerns we can forward to the company who does our cremations. That being said, we are new to the community and this business but not new to veterinary medicine. We are working diligently on creating a new business with some animosity towards the previous clinic and services they have had here. There was no foresight or malice intended in the care of the cat but rather only trying to care for the patient's best interest in a difficult situation. Again we apologize to the owner of the cat in question and hope that you can come to the conclusions yourself of the top care we provide and look forward to continued service in this community and care of your loved ones. Please feel free to contact the clinic with any concerns you may have and we will address them accodingly, Our number is 250-787-7297 or email us at [email protected].
