Did you know fifty years ago this May, The Beatles released Let It Be? Family Services Ottawa (FSO) has been connected to music in many ways through our sold-out Music on a Mission event that takes place annually in October. Music and the arts are also at the core of our brand new event which premiered in 2019, Artistic Resilience. We see how important music and the arts have become during this time of isolation. In 2020 we need to ‘let it be’ for our events and not move f...orward with them for the health and safety of our guests, volunteers and staff. This was a difficult decision and in many ways was not ours to make. Stay tuned for updates on our plans for 2021 and we look forward to the day we are together again. Although we cannot be together in person, we need to come together in spirit. The loss of these two key fundraising events for us means great loss for mental health support. And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light that shines on me. The Beatles During this cloudy time, you can be the light. Please visit us at www.musiconamission.ca to find out how you can be the difference.
