AHS is rapidly increasing our contact tracing team to 2,000 staff by early 2021. We are on track to have approximately 1,600 staff on the contact tracing team b...y Dec. 31. AHS is working with community and industry partners, professional colleges, associations, and post-secondary institutions to promote contact tracing job opportunities. We are also building contact tracing capacity with help from the Ian Martin Group recruitment agency, and we are finalizing contracts with two other third party partners. We are also working to hire candidates from WestJet. To date, seven Westjetters have joined the ranks. We will have 36 contact tracers per 100,000 people, which is on par or better compared with other provinces. We appreciate the overwhelming outreach from many Albertans who want to help with contact tracing, and encourage any interested to visit ahs.ca/careers and apply for an open position.
