The three-phase sport of Eventing requires horses to be soft and supple in dressage, precise and accurate in show jumping and brave and quick in cross-country. Horses must perform on a variety of footing surfaces and be fit enough to gallop along ever changing terrain. Event horses must be kept on a strict training schedule to maintain fitness in order to succeed at the upper levels. Here are some lovely stretching exercises to do with your equine athletes. Make sure you’re stretching yourself afterwards too! We are great at looking after our horses, not so great at looking after ourselves. We are half the partnership and you cannot expect your equine athlete to be balanced if you are not. Also on behalf of your horse, carrots are great stretching motivators

Bodywork produces the best results when done on a regular basis for maintenance. Therefore, our equine bodywork clients receive sessions at a minimum of every 2 weeks @ $250/session. Paid monthly. Tune-ups are included if something needs to be addressed in consecutive days.... Adrienne Schmitke is a Registered Massage Therapist for humans, as well as a Certified Equine Massage Therapist. She was the first Canadian to take part in Neurokinetic Therapy training for Equines. Her interest lays in getting to the 'why' of dysfunction and eliminating compensatory chain patterns. This is done through the manipulation of soft tissue, neural challenging, as well as microcirculation therapy to heal from the inside out. This is a unique opportunity for a few equine athletes and partners to get feeling their very best during their winter training so they are ready to go for 2021.
