Well folks.... I have taken a long time to think about my decision and make this post. I have decided that I have to sell my new tatami and will have to close t...he Fudoshin Judo Academy. These tatami are close to $10,000....and basically new one year old. I am selling them at a unbelievable price $5000... 28 yellow and 26 green, 54 in total. Basically selling them for what is owed on them. I can not take the chance to not be able to pay for them. Sergio was good enough to stop payments until September. There is no clear picture when Judo will start with out restrictions. It looks like Judo will only start back when there is a vaccine. I will not teach anything other than Judo. My membership is what was paying the bill....and well with no members no $$$. I'm not going to get into a big post.... It kills me to have to do this. My heart is broken. Judo was my life..... Sometimes when all hope is lost and you are sick because you don't know what you are going to do about a bill. Then you get a message which is the same is a gia...nt hand taking all that weight off of you that has been crushing you down. Sergio Pessoa you don't know what you have done for me and my family. I thought I was going to have to decide not to pay one bill to pay another. Like plenty others covid-19 has shut me down leaving me in a mess. It sadness me that sensei Carl " Dutchie" Schell has passed away. I had the privilege last spring of sharing the mats with sensei Carl "Dutchie" Schell he was ...well into his 90's and you could still feel and and see his love and passion for our great art that is JUDO!! I find peace in knowing his legacy will continue to be passed on through my dojo Fudoshin Judo Academy, Chris Long Jundokan Judo Academy, Richard Maclean Tani koi Judo club, and of course Harold stears The original Shimpokai Judo club. Sensei's legacy will continue to be woven into the fabric that is Judo, through my son and the many other generations of Judoka. Thank you for all you have done for Judo. A couple of months ago my friend and Judo sensei Chris Long compiled some information that he had been collecting over the last 30 years. With the help of some ...other judokas. They put together the..... "The Origin of Judo in New Brunswick and the Judo Shimpokai." He did this for his sensei Carl"Dutchie Schell" The ultimate show of courtesy, gratitude and respect. The top picture is very important to me in the Middle is the great Carl "Dutchie" Schell and to the right Chris long and of course left of Dutchie me. 3 generations of Carl Schell Judo.. With my son Hunter and Chris's kids there is now 4 generations. The day of this picture Carl was 94 years old! His Tai Otoshi was brilliant and his newaza was spectacular!! Thank you to my friend and sensei for taking this great initiative to do this very special and important project!

Yesterday... I had such the honor and privilege to watch and coach a bit my kinder Judoka at the Max Steele tourney in Clair NB. My first shout out goes to Hun...ter Lavigne my boy. Hunter did not compete at this one. He decided to take the coaches chair this time. My injury prevented me from coaching. Hunter got to see a different side of competing yesterday. He did a great job, always wanting to learn. I am so proud of everyone of them. NO TEARS!!!!! Just fun a learning! And lots of good behavior and sportsmanship. We start with princess Fiona( Audrey Bourque) Fiona was sick at the hotel she told me it was sum bad eggs . She still competed. But could not continue. Fiona came away with a bronze medal!! Loic Comeau ( Rachelle Comeau & MC Como) I only got to see loïc in one match, but that was enough to see how far this amazing boy has come. I am so proud of him. Not letting anything stop him!!! Continue mon ami... Shiu vraiment fière de toi. Bronze medal for Lioc. Damien Huard ( Kelly Huard) Damien had a great day competing against a experienced Judoka and a girl on top of that!! They ate tuff especially coming from club Kachi!! He wipped of the dirt amd kept fighting. I could tell Damien had a good time. Silver medal for Damien. Zoe Aucoin... Zoe had a blast her first match was a tough one... But her second she learned from the first, and come out guns blazing. She came home with the silver medal. Last but certainly not least, my buddy and Valentine Lukas Aucoin!! This 4 year old is going to be one to watch out for!! Lukas had 4 matches winning 3 and tieing in points at the end bringing home tbe silver. I have to give Lukas a special shout out. When Lukas takes his glasses off he sees 3x not 2x. So this was very stressful for his mom. I don't blame her at all. Judo is all about feel.... Feel when your opponent is light or their weight is shifted. Then feel when you should react. I have to Say thank you to Guy( the referee) for making this as comfortable as possible. I say it all the time Judo is for everyone! Not just the well built and strong. No one gets left out!! JUDO IS THE BEST SPORT AND MARTIAL ART IN THE WORLD. DON'T TRY TO ARGUE WITH ME.!!! Thank you to Daniel and his staff and volunteers for having such a great tournament.
