Blessed to have this guy to support me but that’s not always the case for everyone and wasn’t always the case with us either... Sometimes throughout your journey you may find that not everyone is there to support you, not everyone is willing to take that journey with you. People have a hard time accepting change, even when it is about someone else, even someone they love. Some people unconsciously fear being left behind. ... When I first started my business Jarets fear was much stronger than mine. He is not a risk taker like I am so it was hard for him to support me, he focused on what if it didn’t work and I focused on what if I don’t try.... Some people may not stay in your circle and some people will just take time to accept you are changing. And that’s ok, this is not their journey it’s yours, give them time, release the ones who can’t accept it over time and do it for you! ’ .... This was part of today’s workout....it was hard physically but also mentally. So many times I wanted to quit, to be honest I didn’t even want to workout today! A lot of choices I make with raising my children are hard. Keeping my marriage strong everyday can be hard. Starting a business was hard, expanding my business was hard and keeping it going is hard, especially with covid. Building an team is hard at times, keeping myself... disciplined is hard, competing in a body building competition was hard, changing your daily habits is hard. And the list goes on! What I tend to find is that the hardest paths, the hardest decisions those are the most rewarding! They are the ones that make you proud, build confidence and challenge you to do your best in life! For me easy is boring and unfulfilling! So don’t be afraid of HARD, use it to ignite that fire within you! Use it to inspire others to do the same! I used to watch all these online influencers in their beautiful offices, looking like they knew everything there was to know about their job and everything was aligned, to me it looked like perfection! And I wanted it! I kept watching and wishing until one day I got tired of waiting until I had all of that and decided I would make due with what I had...once I jumped in and got to know people in my business I quickly realized they didn’t have everything fancy and if they d...id they didn’t start that way...they worked hard to get that nice office, not everything was aligned or perfect and that we are all a work in progress! And the best part, in this company we all grow together! So if you are waiting for perfection, if you are waiting till things are all lined up, till you have all the answers or the fancy office, you will never be ready. This is how I looked working today - me, my couch and my phone. That’s it No fancy office No fancy latte on my desk Just , , to help others, to learn and grow, and the of my team! My goal is to stay healthy enough to never be a burden on my children.... I want to be independent for as long as I can. I want to be able to work as long as I can cause I love my job, I want to be an active (future) Nana and I never want my kids to feel they have to take care of me. ’ ? Motivation is great!!! It will get you going on days you don’t want to, it will keep you going when you want to give up! Motivation can come from yourself, from your coach, a friend, a group of people, your goals, your family.... But I’m gonna be totally honest even with all those things you are NOT going to feel motivated all the time, so then what??? What are you going to use to push you to keep working hard? ... !!! When the motivation is gone the discipline has got to be there! It is heartbreaking for me to watch people freeze in fear.... I would much rather fail at trying to do something then feeling like a failure because I never tried at all. As an entrepreneur I have had many doors close on me...but my dream, my vision, my desire, my passion was so strong that I never let that stop me! I remember when I was wanting to purchase my first gym , my husband said to me but what happens if this doesn’t work....my response without even a though...t was that’s not an option! He knew at that moment that I was doing this and I was going to make it happen no matter what! That no matter what obstacles punched me in the gut I was going to fight back! This year there have been a few! I opened a brand new facility to only be closed down due to this pandemic two weeks in! We re opened things started to look up and boom closed again...there are times when I am stressed and worried for sure because I am human however it pushed me to think outside the box, to get creative to put my fears in my back pocket and try something new.... I am now blessed with an online community of people that I love! I get to continue helping my clients stay healthy! I connect with people from all over the world, and in my own community that I would have never connected with before and some have become really close friends!! Had I stayed sad and afraid to try something new, something unknown, something I knew nothing about I wouldn’t have all that, and I would not be able to provide for you like I currently can! Making a change in your life can be hard but so can staying where you are. Think about this.....Some days you don’t want to go to work but you have bills to pay so you go right? You don’t want to get fired so you go right? You are working towards a promotion so you suck it up and go right???? So why is it that your job, your financial situation is more important than your body, your health, your well being? Yet without those things you may not be able to work which in... turn will effect your financial situation. Why is that you will spend $6 on a Starbucks but you tell me the $9 salad is too expensive.... I’ll tell you why this happens. Instant response. If you don’t show up for work there is a chance u could get fired the next day. If you drink the Starbucks instead of the salad you will not gain 10lbs overnight. When you eat the salad you will not loose 10lbs overnight either....when we don’t see instant changes or consequences we don’t take it seriously. Here’s the problem....there are so many other jobs out there....but you only have ONE body. When you continue to not want to do what starts as hard (push play on day one, take ten minutes to meditate, choose the salad more times than not) eventually you will wake up to 10 extra lbs on the scale or worse a health condition. Let’s focus on preventative measures rather than waiting till it’s too late! I’m not saying you have to be strict all the time, we require balance but treat your body with respect. It’s gives you life, it allows you to work, to laugh, to cry, to run, it allows you to love your people... love yourself enough to remember your body can fire you too! See more

I read this quote last night just before I was about to close down the gym. ....so true....during that setback we learn we grow, we may even change a little and we come back ready to fight to give it our all. ... This was perfect timing for me to read as our province goes into lockdown and I’m forced to close my business doors yet it can be relevant in anything you may be going through in your life. We are strong, we are brave and we don’t allow setbacks to dictate our future! Repeat that as many times as you need to. Allow yourself to have the emotion, the sadness, the anger but don’t stay there! You can do this! You will come out of this a stronger better person! Forced into shut down.... The government has informed us that we are to shut down the gym by Thursday due to covid and our province going into code red. Our doors will be closed at 9 pm Wednesday November 11, 2020. ’ .... It was 2014, I was prepping for a body building competition. I was doing a shoulder fly, lifted too heavy and hurt my chest and shoulder. I was stubborn (maybe stupid) and pushed through the injury and continued to train and compete. It never went away it would bother me on and off, as it became more frequent and to the point where doing certain moves was extremely painful I got sent for an MRI. I had a partial tear in ...my shoulder. After consulting with the specialist , I decided to not get surgery and just work around the injury and avoid certain moves. It is now 2020 and I just did 9 pull-ups and 23 assisted pull-ups! Shoulder press was hit and miss but an upright row was a definite no no! And I just did 4 sets with 25 lbs! After time, caution and re strengthening my shoulder I am damn proud to be able to do this! Don’t get me wrong it still bothers me from time to time but I am so happy with my progress! Choose a weight that is heavier than what you can normally lift on a front raise. This is going to come mostly from your hips! Hinge at the hips bringing weight between your legs (this is not a squat) drive your hips forward as you swing the dumbbell or kettlebell up to shoulder height only. Squeeze your glutes at the top. ... Love yourself enough to know when to let go If you are like me you may find this task hard I am the type of person who sees the best in everybody.... ... When people do wrong I give them chances to not make that same mistake 2, 3 or 4 times I try to understand the underlying reasons of why people do and act the way they do I forgive quickly I try to let go (this one super hard for me) I try to see the good, the positive side and the lesson in every situation But there comes a point where you need to be confident enough and love yourself enough to not allow people to take advantage of you, to hurt you over and over and to realize that the impact of them not being around is less than the negative impact they are causing in your life. Stand up for yourself Love yourself enough to demand respect Be confident in doing what is right for you Happiness comes from within but also from letting go sometimes of external things, so don’t hang onto things, situations or circumstances if they are hurtful or harmful, part ways with people that take away your happiness you deserve better than that, love yourself enough to let go.

& - Majority of my weight is on my supporting leg, my toe on the other leg is there for balance only. I’m leading with my hips (remember this is not a squat) Shoulders stay higher then hips, only a slight bend in knee, core engaged, neck neutral back flat! Don’t focus on the weight hitting the floor, do what your hamstring flexibility allows before your back starts to curve. Do not allow your shoulders to roll forward, keep your ches...t open. You should feel this in the glutes & hamstrings! - Hold one dumbbell up close to chest. Squat down ensuring knees are not tracking over the toes, come up hips first, then bring upper body to upright position (good mornings). Core stays engaged, keep your back flat. This move will hit the hamstrings, glutes, lower back, and quads. Do you ever wish you could help someone more than you feel you can? Do you ever pray so hard to be able to take away someone’s pain? Do you ever feel helpless? ... My job is to help people, it’s what I love, it’s what I do every single day! In all aspects of their lives not just fitness. So when I have a situation where I try to help someone and I can’t or it feels like it’s not enough it’s hard...especially when it’s someone I love. Today was that day for me... I came across a video from a friend and fellow coach and it was exactly what I needed...we then had a private chat and it reminded me how strong we are! How we need to just keep trying and never give up! And because we have such a deep desire to help others that we are probably doing more than we even realize or give ourselves credit for! So instead of being sad, I am just going to keep helping, doing my best, and allow myself to accept that that is enough! One thing I have discovered about myself is that I’m , the next credential, the next course to take and as much as there is absolutely nothing wrong with that (you should always be learning) there was a reason ....so I d...id some soul searching.... My parents generation grew up with the beliefs that you got a good paying job, with a good pension and you stayed there for 30 years...my dad was a paramedic, my grandfather deputy chief of police and many more so someone in a uniform held a pretty high status in my house. There was also fuss over people who had high paying jobs and their titles. Without me even realizing I was looking to find my status in this world. ’ . I would receive a designation only to continue searching for another one! Now was the time to sit down and really decide if that was really important to me or to everyone else, I’m sure you know the answer.... Today I my job, my title....’ ! I help people change, find themselves, become happy, I offer a safe place for them to grow, I work with the most supportive community, and honestly and finally I don’t care what that is called. I pour my heart and soul into my clients and give them my best! is one of the most amazing moves to work your entire core and body actually! This includes the abs, obliques, lower back, shoulders, glutes, legs, upper back and chest! It will help you in daily life, lower your risk of injury, increase muscle strength and improve posture! Plank can be done on hands or on you elbows! ... Both will work your core, up on your hands will add in a bit of an extra shoulder workout too! When in plank position, make sure your shoulders, elbows and wrists are all in line with each other. Drive your heels towards the floor behind you! Squeeze your glutes, and your quads, drive your hips towards the floor but do not allow your back to arch, keep your core engaged. Do not look up or down towards your feet, keep your head and neck neutral. Don’t forget to breath! Modifications: 1~ start up against a wall by placing your hands on the wall slightly above your head. Walk your feet out keeping your body flat. 2~ On your hands and knees, bring your hands forward in front of you so that you need to engage your core. Drive your hips towards the floor again not allowing an arch in the lower back! Your you get an done....here is your appointment date...this was the letter I received in the mail yesterday. Have you ever heard that line before? I have and it actually kinda hits home with me. ... I come from a family with a history of , . And close, we are talking immediate family! The type of heart disease is known to be hereditary and more than one person in my family does have this. My doctor randomly has me get my heart checked just to be safe. Every time I get a bit nervous.....what if....so far so good and really hoping this one has the same positive outcome! However I do want to share that just because something is hereditary does not mean that it’s a death sentence, that you are guaranteed to get it. What it does mean is that you are at a higher risk then say your neighbor who’s family doesn’t carry the same hereditary disease. So do you just throw your hands up and say well I’m destined to get this one day anyways.... ! You do everything you can to prevent yourself from getting it! It is your ! And I’m not saying that if you do everything healthy you won’t get something for sure....but to not even try and then blaming it on something being hereditary is just an excuse! I don’t mean to sound harsh but this my friends is why I move everyday, why I work my heart and try to flood my body with nutrients! ! When I was invited to do the for the running program I was a bit . Of all programs to be in I had to be in a running program. !!! I was given an opportunity that not everyone gets so I was going to definitely give it a try. The runs were hard, I was daily! But every time I completed a run I felt , I was of myself for doing something I said I couldn’t do. By the end of... the thirty days I was able to run a with no break!!! YES no break and a 5K!!! That completely transformed me! The weight workouts are designed to help with the strength needed for running, the audio cues you get during your run taught me how to run properly! .... Life doesn’t always feel kind, sometimes things are hard, every season isn’t perfect. There was a time in my life that I went through a pretty rough time! But everyday I showed up to my workouts. Like every single day! I remember Jaret even asking me once how can you possibly workout right now my response I have too... It was my outlet, it kept me grounded, it cleared my head, for that 1/2 hour all I focused on was moving my body, listening to the trainer on the video and just drowning out the rest of the world. Without having this outlet I truly believe I would’ve fallen into a deep depression. Don’t get me wrong I was close and may have been considered slightly depressed, my stress level was through the roof but during that 1/2 hour I was mostly at peace. It truly saved my mental wellness. It saved me from being sad all the time, from feeling like I had no control over my life, from taking medication, from not pushing through the really hard days. ! For ten years I have done these workouts, I’ve done them ! Now that I am coaching I am here to also do them ! To help those who are struggling in life, who need to find an outlet, to help those who are looking to be fit, for those who want to be healthy, for those who need a few extra bucks each week, whatever you may need I am here to help you with zero judgement, just support, to be your coach, your mentor and mostly your friend. When doing a bicep curl we want to make sure we have a slight bend in the knees so we stay grounded. This along with a slight core engagement will protect your lower back. ... Do not allow your elbows to come forward or up as you curl the dumb bell up towards your shoulders. Nor do you want your elbows to go behind you. Focus on keeping them close to your rib cage. Squeeze your bicep at the top and lower back down slowly to starting position. Stay in control! Do not allow your upper body to rock in order to get the weights up if this is happening your weight is too heavy! The bicep can be a tricky muscle to stretch. Sometimes you just have to spend sometime in nature! I love the sun, I love how it feels on my skin. I also happen to love trees, every tree is different and unique, they are beautiful and as much as I don’t like the cold the fall colors are beautiful. I love the peacefulness, the stillness, the quiet of being outside in my yard. I love how sitting on the ground, the earth, brings me calmness and allows me to feel grounded in those moments. I took my 10 min meditation... outside and then just sat and enjoyed the outdoors. There is something powerful about meditating daily! I am not very good at it yet but I plan to work at it daily and get better. Starting on Monday I will be challenging myself and a few others to 21 days of meditation, they are only ten minutes.
