I get asked a LOT about health products, supplements, etc., * My answer is always the same ... There IS a difference Quality COUNTS And you GET what you pay for Ok so, how do I know what I’m getting is any good? Is usually the next question. Two things, programs and products When it comes to choosing a program, make sure it’s focused on health. I know that sounds like a no-brainer but honestly most people are so caught up in wanting to lose weight they jump at the first thing that promises them results. Diets Anyone can lose weight on a diet. But will it stay off is the better question. In order to make sure you’re embarking on something where you’ll get results, maintain them for life AND improve your health, not damage it, consider these 3 questions: Is the program based in science Can I do it for life Would I let a kid do it If you checked all three, it’s a winner and you’re on your way to achieving your goals and loving your life. When choosing products, be purposeful. Are you buying something because the ad looked good or were you actually looking for something to add to your health regimen? Products are meant to come alongside and fill the gaps in your nutrition. Let’s face it, nobody’s perfect, we all have gaps. Here’s some things to consider: Make sure it’s bioavailable so your body can readily metabolize and use it It should complement anything you’re currently taking All products are not created equally - read labels As an example check out these labels. Both aloe vera products. The left is one I found at the grocery store. The right is one I ordered online from a health and wellness company. You may have to expand the pictures to see but the one on the left lists water as its first ingredient where the one on the right contains 95% pure aloe. The left also lists artificial flavours. None of that on the right. Left, may contain items. I could go on but you get the point. Quality aloe vera like on the right, contains healing properties, is anti-inflammatory, better vitamin absorption, supports immune function. You may pay a little more for quality, but you’re worth every penny

Bugs on veggies?! YES!! Finding a bug just means it hasn’t been grown or sprayed with nasty chemicals. Love that when my garden is done I can get my veggies from the farm down the road where they even have signs that let people know they may find bugs because they’ve never sprayed. WIN!

Learned some new things today about how to use collagen to best support our skin. Skin is our largest organ so it’s definitely something to take care of.
