The 360 film Legends of the Northern Sky premiered today in Telus World of Science’s Zeidler Dome. The film is directed by Perry Shulak and tells traditional Plains Cree stories of the night sky. We shot the opening and closing of the film in 360-video and the rest is beautifully computer animated by Perry and his team. The film is now playing daily will be screened at other planetariums across Canada. @ TELUS World of Science Edmonton

https://vimeo.com/315266510 Ryan Jackson discusses his quest to build a 360-degree immersive projection space with a wheel in the middle. If you turn the wheel, time moves forwards or backwards around you. The talk was part of IMERSA 2019 held in Columbus, Ohio on February 3, 2019. Check out a second presentation on recent Full Circle Visuals projects here: https://vimeo.com/315263485
Sneak peek at an interactive projection project weve been developing called Time Machine. Imagine 24-hour 360 timelapse video projected in a dome and controlled by a simple wheel. Turn it to the right and time moves forwards. Turn it to the left and time moves backwards. We plan to use it to tell tell stories about climate change and weather patterns. Any ideas? #360video #holygrailtimelapse #360vr #planetarium #timemachine
Setting up a 48-hour day-night-day-night 360 timelapse. Six car batteries oughta be enough power! #holygrailtimelapse #360video

The hemp farming course weve been working on all summer for NorQuest College was featured in Star Metro newspaper today. Thats a frame grab from a video interview with farmer Brian Rozmahel near Viking, AB. #hemp #norquestcollege
And of course, here's the teaser showing off some of our hemp footage! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjoeUwdjV4o
All summer long we've been getting footage of hemp farmers and innovative technology, and we're nearly ready to help NorQuest release their hemp courses early next year. It's been a wild ride! https://www.norquest.ca//norquest-college-to-deliver-mass-

Tuesday night was the two-year anniversary of launching Full Circle Visuals. We spent it capturing the opening scene of a fulldome film that will be shown at the new Telus World of Science Planetarium this fall. The film is called Legends of the Northern Sky and it tells traditional First Nations stories of the constellations. The opening and closing of the film is live action and the middle is all animated by creator and director Perry Shulak of Critical Fusion. Sam built a camera elevator that lifted our 360 rig into the sky once the story begins.
Full Circle Visuals is in Toulouse, France for the 2018 International Planetarium Society Conference! We produced a 360 tourism video that is being screened in their new 8K dome to promote IPS 2020 in Edmonton.
Today we're out on Vancouver Island learning about #hemp textiles for a @norquestcollege course #entrepeneur #innovation #yeg
