PSA: Supportive Housing proposed for #greaterhardisty Area TODAY's vote by City Council paves the way for this important development NEXT STEPS (per COE re: Per...manent Supportive Housing Sale to Homeward Trust) INCLUDE - Public Engagement Administration has developed four separate public engagement and communications plans for each of the sites to facilitate public engagement activities in conjunction with Administration and Homeward Trust. Each of the four public engagement plans will include three phases: 1. Build Relationships Early phase focuses on one-on-one discussions with community members and developing a clear understanding of the community to adjust engagement approaches for the next phases as necessary. 2. Expand Relationships with the Community. This phase will consist of more in-depth roundtable discussions, surveys and one-on-one interviews. Further information on the plans for the sites, including renderings and site details will be shared at this phase. 3. Large-Scale Community Engagement Events. The exact structure of these activities will be informed by the previous phases; however, they will involve large public, facilitated forums. Administration is reviewing how to best align the timing of public engagement requirements for the rezoning applications with the consultant’s engagement plans. The proposed site in (#greaterhardisty) Terrace Heights had a parking lot planned for the Fulton Ravine Skatepark which will be displaced by the housing development. Therefore, in addition to the above public engagement plans, Administration worked with the South East Community... Thanks to https://www.facebook.com/nicole.karam.125 for obtaining this response ... If the proposed supportive housing project is realized, residents in this building will receive on-site supports and services including meals and health services. There will be professional staff on site 24/7 including social workers, psychologists, nurses, therapists and support workers who have the training and experience needed to help residents succeed and to provide daily programming to keep residents engaged. There have been more than 40 bikes stolen in the following communities since mid-April: Lendrum Place, Malmo Plains, Greenfield, Park Allen, Allendale, Argyll, ...Avonmore, Bonnie Doon, Capilano, Forest Heights, Holyrood, Kenilworth, King Edward Park, Ottewell, Strathearn, Terrace Heights and other communities in close proximity to Whyte Ave. Most of these thefts happened from detached garages. The point of entry has mainly been locked man doors being pried open with a tool, and in some incidents another older, less expensive bike has been left behind. These are occurring almost every day of the week. There has also been a recent spike in bikes being stolen from underground parkades. Police are reviewing intelligence that has been gathered and looking to identify and arrest those involved in this series. Several arrests have already been made however the series is continuing so any assistance from the public is appreciated. Contact the EPS non-emergency line at 780-423-4567. Be sure and give thieves the gears by registering your bike at BikeIndex.org. You’ll need to provide your bike’s details including serial number, make, model, colour and photos.

Hello Fulton Place Community, Fulton Place Community League’s (FPCL) top priority is to ensure our community is safe so we have been closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation. Hall Closure ... Due to the state of emergency declared by the Province of Alberta, the FPCL hall will be closed until further notice. At the moment, no date has been provided by the City or the Province as to when the community league halls in Edmonton will reopen. Regularly scheduled Classes have been suspended. For suspended programs, the League will reach out to the program organizers regarding their rentals, and they in turn will reach out to their class participants regarding class rescheduling or cancellations and any credits or adjustments. We ask for your patience as we work through this with our rental program organizers. Private Hall Rentals have been cancelled. Individuals who have booked the hall will be contacted by the League to refund any advance rental payments made. No additional bookings will be accepted at this time. Community Engagement and Support for Fulton Place We continue to be proud of our community, and those that make our neighbourhood a place where neighbors look out for one another and there is strong sense of community spirit. Self-Isolation and Quarantine For individuals who have self-isolated or are quarantined and require support, there are numerous online resources available to help you stay informed and navigate this situation. There are informational websites available from the Government of Alberta, the Government of Canada, and the World Health Organization with tools for the public. For individuals who would like to offer support to others who are self-isolated or quarantined, we certainly encourage that residents check in with your neighbours, particularly those who are vulnerable or have mobility issues. Check out the Fulton Place Facebook page, and the group ‘FPCL Neighbours and Volunteers’ to leave a message regarding COVID-19 issues in our community, to request some help or see who needs it.
