*PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - POSTED TODAY IN A COMMUNITY FORUM BY ONE OF OUR NEIGHBORS REGARDING THE RIVER A TERWILLEGAR DOG PARK! PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE A D...OG! I went to the dog park today. My Portuguese Water Dog went into the river as usual, only this time it wasn’t very usual. There were two ladies who said that if our dog went into the water, we were in trouble. Thinking nothing of it, we called our dog and he didn’t come back. We went to look for him and couldn’t find him but we heard him crying. Only after my brother looked further down the river could we see my dog clinging to the bank, head just out of the water. The current was too strong for him and he couldn’t get out. He is a 70lb WATER dog. Unfortunately the two ladies who warned us had just rescued their dog from the same situation as well. My brother went into the water, which was about 4.5 feet deep right off the shore, and the two ladies pulled my dog up onto the land with two leashes attached to each other. Please please be cautious if you are going to the dog park and your dog likes water. This didn’t happen at the main river entrance, it was further down the path through the trees. Please share this to get the word out. I want to be able to find these ladies and thank them again!! The river current is too strong - please keep your companions safe.

His Dad is beyond grateful for everyone’s help while he was working up North. He is literally crying with joy when he called me and we had confirmation he has his boy back! RESCUED! Edmonton Friends! My buddies amazing dog Jax was STOLEN from his house this morning in NE Edmonton (Highlands Area) He is absolutely crushed! Please share everywhere and anywhere so we can bring Jax home!
