Another fun art activity! Paper, toys and writing implement are all that's needed. Keep the toys in place and this becomes a science and math activity as well: You can talk about the rotation of the sun, how light and shadows work and the relationship to time. I might even have fun with shadow drawings myself! Try combining objects to make different creatures in the shadow to trace. Stay creative!

As an artist and an educator, I'm always thinking about fun art projects that can be done with kids. With so many of us in self isolation, and many of you with kids at home, I couldn't help but share this page and what they are doing. This is a free series of directed drawing for kids! It's like how I run my paint night; with easy step by step instructions and Patty (the instructor) is using mostly art materials you have around the house!
