Come down for some outdoor fun this weekend
A couple big announcements coming this week, but for now I will start with this one: DOYLEFEST KIND-OF 2020 is a go!! Happening as always, the weekend after Lab...our Day at Eagle Creek Regional Park, 66 km west of Saskatoon September 11th - 13th. Things will obviously look a little different this year, namely there will be NO STAGE and NO BEER GARDENS and no large gatherings. We encourage everyone to practice safe physical distancing, and when that can not be done, please wear a mask. That being said, there will be lots of musicians, lots of small jamming, and most importantly, lots of friends and family camping and safely using the walking trails, mini-golf, checking out the creek, eating yummy things from the concession, using the 9-hole golf course and basically having a grand ole’ time. Oh, and hey!?! Have you ever tried disc-golf? Wanna give it a go? Cordell Cotter Anderson and his pals will be teaching an introductory class Saturday September 12th @ 10 am, discs provided!! Then if you want to try your hand in a fun lil’ tournament, sign-up at 11 am. There are some awesome prizes! A custom dyed Doylefest disc, Doylefest 2021 tickets, and some more great things! Admission is by donation, as there is no scheduled line-up or events. Regional park fees apply, and you can book your campsite online @ https://saskregionalparks.ca/park/eagle-creek/ or on my website @ www.elizamarydoyle.com A little heads up, Campsites 1-36 and 49-67 will be jamming and party friendly, so book in around other sites if late night noise keeps you and and you’re an early-to-bed-early-to-rise kinda camper. All proceeds go towards CAMP programming, which aims to strengthen remote and under-served communities through arts mentorship. Some big big announcements coming your way surrounding all of this, stay tuned!! Maybe I’ll see you soon, maybe I won’t! Either way, keep being awesome at trying your best at making this world a better place, and living on the cusp of new experiences. Spread the word, let's see how many lives we can impact through music this year!! Love to you all.
Sometimes golfing at the creek can be difficult but there’s always that bonus golf ball
