If you have been at our clinic in the past couple of months you may have had the pleasure of meeting Blanca! She is here completing her final placement before she receives her Bachelor of Kinesiology with a Major in Human Kinetics from the University of Regina. As of today, all clients are required to wear a mask to their appointments. Masking is required in all indoor public spaces in Yorkton. We also want to remind everyone to sanitize their hands at the door when they enter the clinic. Thank you for your cooperation!

We believe in collaboration. This is part of our culture at Functional Rehabilitation. We believe that we accomplish more together than as individuals. We believe that if we can check our egos at the door, and authentically communicate, then good things can happen and positive change can take place. As Functional Rehabilitation moves forward with our renovation plans for the CTV building, and the dipping of our toes into the fitness space, Dr. Hove reached out to some of the ...local gyms CrossFit Function, Pumphouse Athletic Club, Inner Cycle Spin Studio, CrossFit Novus and Anytime Fitness (Yorkton). He wanted to meet the owners, say ‘hello’ and congratulate them on managing to hang in there through the COVID lockdown and successfully re-open. The fitness industry is already challenging enough, never mind during a pandemic. And it is unfortunate for the community of Yorkton that we did lose Ramsey’s during this time. The fitness industry is similar in some respects to the restaurant industry. You have choice in the type of food or dining experience you want to have, and it’s the same with gyms. If you want to go workout and use the equipment, you would go to the PAC or Anytime Fitness. If you’re looking for spin in Yorkton, you would go to Inner Cycle. If you are interested in CrossFit, you may want to consider the new CrossFit affiliate that will be coming to Yorkton, CrossFit Novus. As a healthcare professional, Dr. Hove is often asked, Which fitness program is the best? And the answer never changes, it is the one you enjoy and can be the most consistent with. So whether that is spin, yoga, weight training, running or CrossFit, it doesn’t matter, so long as you are getting out there and doing it. The COVID-19 pandemic certainly has high-lighted the need for an active and health lifestyle and it has been exciting to see so many folks out for walks, buying gym equipment and heading to the local gyms. Functional Rehabilitation is excited to soon be a part of the growing interest in health and fitness. The team at Functional Rehabilitation continues to develop our coached group fitness model that not only bridges the gap between injury and illness to true health and wellness, but also improves general health, performance and body composition. Our model will utilize the best of the various training methodologies available while adhering to evidence based principles of fitness and physiology, empowering you to train in a safe, client centered program. Stay tuned. Good things coming to Yorkton.

Thank you to all the candidates who took time on the phone and in person to share with them the vision for the upcoming renovation of the iconic CTV building in downtown Yorkton. Our team has a great respect for those who are willing to serve their community by submitting their names for our civic election, and we sincerely wish you all the best of luck! All of your questions and comments were appreciated, as well as enthusiasm for the vision of our project and how we believe... it will positively impact Yorkton and lift up downtown. The feedback was helpful as our clinic naturally expands into the health, wellness and fitness space, building on our expertise and experience in multi-disciplinary physical rehabilitation as well as mental health areas of healthcare. Stay tuned! More to come to Yorkton, where good things happen! Best of luck to you all!
